Site continually crashing and reloading

I am so utterly sick of this, it’s been going on for months but now it’s even worse, in the space of 15 minutes the site has crashed and reloaded 3 times, each time I have lost my post I was typing, it’s infuriating, I am on an iPad using safari. This has been highlighted by numerous posters time and time again and nothing changes.

I've basically given up on using MN on my phone as it doesn't load, I then have to close safari and re-open it, then it works for maybe a couple of links if at all, then it just stops loading again and I have to close safari.

Even if I then try to open a different website on the same tab that I had MN open on, that website doesn't load because MN is still throttling that tab.

The other night I tried to look at MN on my phone because my iPad wasn't to hand, and I got this message which I've never seen before and I had to turn my phone off. Like, what the actual fuck. @BeckyAMumsnet ?

And why is this issue always affecting my phone now? MN never works anymore., it's not sporadic, or glitchy, it is literally broken.

Every so often this pops up with notifications and I can’t believe 7 weeks after it’s still posted MN ever pretended they were investigating it. What a waste of time

No idea what Mumsnet has tweaked these past four days but the reloading nonsense is out of control. Add to that if I dare leave a tab to find a link to copy for a poster (-ie a link to Women's aid website) my entire draft post has been wiped out and I have to retype it. I'm getting to the point where I won't be posting and yet again it's the ones who are vulnerable or needing help the most who are going to be impacted the worst. Shame on MN HQ 😠

Unbelievable bad today. Still the world is back to normal tomorrow so mumsnet can go back to ignoring us in the normal way rather than the special Christmas way.

Still having to load pages five times to be able to scroll them.

The last few days it’s been even worse than usual, the constant fuckwittery with the loading & freezing it’s driving me up the wall oh & the battery draining is even more prevalent.

Just opened a thread on the phone and the app duckDuckGo blocked 19 companies who were trying to access my data to then compete with each other to offer me ads.
The site is slow because you are not alone when browsing it. External companies are going through your past searches or sites you have access to tailor ads.
just download DuckDuckGo and use it for Mumsnet. Problems solved and you can experience it like it was in 2006.

I see they're not so bothered that users have suffered this abomination for weeks and weeks without resolution that they've switched off the ads until they can guarantee a reasonable user experience.....

That is so intrusive.

I've resisted ad blockers till now, as I've been happy for MN to have the ad revenue rather than me pay a subscription. But given the length of time we've been left suffering this, and that level of intrusion on what should be my private activities, I'm going to give it a go.

I thought that, if this was used, you get several messages about takiing it off and then it locks the page,@ILoveDuckDuckGo? Or has that changed?

At least that's what happened when I once tried it, against my better judgement admittedly as I appreciate MN needs the ad revenue

Ah, I see - but it still brought up endless "please delete" and then blockage messages during the brief period I used it, and it must have been that as I don't have any adblockers and I'd never had them until then?

Am I right in thinking it doesn't result in these any more then?

You download it on laptop and phone, and open the app or browser. It is like firefox, safari , explorer, chrome, vivaldi, …. the list is endless. It is a browser. You don’t use it for 5 min by visiting a website. You install it, and open it to use a specific site like MN or as your default browser.
It is great for airlines. So rates won’t change as quickly.

I started using it after they put the mobile phone ad on the app flashing all over the place and making it impossible to use. Never had any messages.

It’s still crashing constantly for me. It will try and load then crash about five times until it loads. I know it’s the ads which is why MNHQ isn’t interested.

The fucking bastard constant crashing & reloading just lost a long & detailed post on a thread again it’s totally infuriating.

@BeckyAMumsnet any news? It’s diabolical today constant reloading oh & did you know sometimes the adverts are I think sometimes German/Spanish/French language seems odd for a U.K. based site.
