Site continually crashing and reloading

I am so utterly sick of this, it’s been going on for months but now it’s even worse, in the space of 15 minutes the site has crashed and reloaded 3 times, each time I have lost my post I was typing, it’s infuriating, I am on an iPad using safari. This has been highlighted by numerous posters time and time again and nothing changes.

The reason we ask for screen recordings is because it's generally the fastest way for us to determine what may be causing the issue as we can't always replicate it. We do appreciate that it takes time and effort to send this across - but we really do appreciate it.

Thank you to everyone who has sent screenshots and videos; they really do help in diagnosing the problem. We're running some more tests this week so just wanted to update that we're hopeful we'll have this sorted soon.

Hi all

We have carried out a huge amount of real-world testing and dug into performance logs and browser behaviour across different devices, browsers, connection types and browsing styles to try to figure out the most likely causes.

Based on what we now know, we have been testing improvements but sadly we've not pinned down the issue yet, although we have definitely narrowed down the most likely causes.

We are continuing to run targeted fixes - thanks to everyone who has shared recordings, screenshots and reports - we promise to keep you posted on our progress.

Morning, everyone.

If you have a video player opening when this happens, you can close it and that should help the issue. We're still running tests though, and will update here when we have any news.

Hello everyone, thanks for your posts. If you’re still running into crashing or freezing, one thing that’s helps is closing the video player using the ‘X’. Once it’s closed, it shouldn’t reappear during that session. Please do let us know how you get on with that and do share your feedback.

The layout issues reported earlier should now be fixed for users posting on web. There are issues on android app that we are currently trying to resolve. Thank you.
