Why has MN changed colour?

It's awful! About 10 mins ago I refreshed a page and the blue banners changed to a much brighter shade, and the OP is highlighted in grey instead of green, and I hate it. It's too bright. What's happening??

Galaxy A55, latest version of Chrome.

You can, but you can't get the old colours back.

So, MN can put big buttons on posts to say that it is the OP/my post (why?), but they can't figure out a solution to Zombie threads - and STILL they can't fix the issue with Active always going back to the top of the page

There is the option to change the OP colour and your own post colour in your settings if you want to play around with it https://www.mumsnet.com/settings/talk

I like this new look, and having my posts in a different colour.

I really don’t need a big maroon “My posts” on my posts. I know that they’re mine. They have my name and they’re green. Super pale green now but green.

This has happened to me as well. I was using dark mode on here, it’s the best for my eyes and now I can’t use the colours on dark mode so have had to switch back to light mode which is very bright and hurting my eyes. Is this because I updated my iPad yesterday to the latest version?

I prefer the colour it was before.

Well I have just changed my colours but they all look washed out , it's hard to see the difference between most of them.

Exactly this. The flags are completely unnecessary. And although the default colours can be changed, the choice is limited.

I've just changed it back on Talk Settings in my account. Irritating though.

Go to 'Settings' & 'Talk Settings'. You can have:

white
washed-out greeny-grey
washed-out grey-green
bilious pale salmon (named 'Magenta')
blue (so everything looks like it's from MN)

I really can't understand the logic behind this change. Still, it should be easy for MN to change back to something more comfortable for its users.

I'm sure I'll get used to it. The read/unread links look very 2005 now though.

How did you change it back? Where did you find the old colours - the lilac, the real green?

Another voice begging for the old look back - I hate this! So much harder to read.

I really like it, it feels fresher and more modern.

I was disappointed though, I thought it had introduced 'see all' for every poster, not just the OP but it hasn't.

I could probably tolerate the new blue if I could have my old choice of colours back!

The colours are giving me the beginning niggles of a migraine. The blue in particular. Please give us back the old colours.
