I can only see lots of posts with an option to load more.

On safari, iPhone 6, customised settings are set to 25 per page.

I dont want to be in the test group either please.

It's a real barrier to me using Mumsnet.

Topbird29 · 07/03/2025 09:00

Please can I have pages back too. I remember what pages recommendations are on in style & beauty or christmas threads- and don't think you can multiple bookmark to go back. Can you? Also sometimes like popping into a thread on maybe page 8 and then page 20 etc to look for updates if the thread is following a current event. Trying to catch up on what happened instead of reading the whole thread. Maybe have the long scroll as an option people can log into.

Same please I hate it.

Wheech · 07/03/2025 09:10

I'm not a fan. It's an awful lot of scrolling. I often read the first page of a thread then on page 2 click to view OP posts only to see if they have come back, before reading further or contributing. Can't do that now.

baroqueandblue · 07/03/2025 09:18

I'm out of the test group and it feels like liberation! This is how I like my MN 😊

Onlycoffee · 07/03/2025 09:47

Please remove me from the test group, as I said above I hate it and mn is unusable to me like this.

Only come on to check messages and notifications!

commonground · 07/03/2025 10:09

I'm finding it frustrating as I'm on a thread (nyt connections) where a link is helpfully posted to a new thread, when the current one is full.

Can I find the link now when scrolling on my phone? No! I am doomed not to share my amazing solving. So it's a no from me. It was better before.

Liquorandvinegar · 07/03/2025 10:20

I have pages back - thank you.

Flev · 07/03/2025 10:21

Thank goodness, my pages are back. Thank you.

Onlycoffee · 07/03/2025 10:25

Thank you! I have pages back, so happy 😁

PhasednotFazed · 07/03/2025 11:33

Hello @EarsUpTailUp thanks for posting - you're seeing this because we are currently testing a new way of scrolling through threads, and would appreciate any feedback you may have. Thanks.

I am not enjoying this new style at all! It makes it harder to navigate the thread and find previous posts. I'd like to have pages back please.

NiftyGreenEagle · 07/03/2025 12:24

It's horrible. There is no point me reading anything other than the shortest of threads. If Mumsnet was set up like Facebook or reddit - where you can expand replies and easily sort then it would be ok but it isnt. I don't know any other website that has threads like this.

NiftyGreenEagle · 07/03/2025 12:25

Can I please be removed from the test group too? When I wrote my last message the newest messages weren't there so I didn't see that as an option

NebulousDogWhistleIsReality · 07/03/2025 12:30

With regards to the bookmarks option, other forums have a bookmark option that allows you to save all bookmarked posts. Here you can only bookmark one post at a time. Bookmark a newer post and it removes the original bookmark.

@SueMumsnet & @BeckyAMumsnet can I please have my pages back now, this new way is very irritating!

NebulousDogWhistleIsReality · 07/03/2025 13:19

@BeckyAMumsnet @SueMumsnet I am also having the issue with the thread taking me to the first post even though I've bookmarked the latest post on a long thread.

Hi - that's helpful to know thanks. Yes will get you removed from the test group asap. Thanks for feedback.

Also @NebulousDogWhistleIsReality can I just ask you something? Have you ever used the "save post" feature on Mumsnet? It's in the 3 dots on every post. Does that do what you say can be done on other forums? Or are you talking about something different? Would be really helpful to know...

Thank you for removing me from the test group!

FWIW, I think it would be better to ask people in advance if they want to be included in the test groups for stuff like this. I don't want to be part of them in future.

I was not aware of the save post function tbh, yes that functions similarly to the one I was thinking of.

Younginside · 07/03/2025 15:30

@SueMumsnet Could you remove me from the test group please? Thanks

PhasednotFazed · 07/03/2025 17:28

Thanks for removing me!

Younginside · 07/03/2025 17:53

Glad to have pages back - thank you

LuckyLerwick · 07/03/2025 18:14

@SueMumsnet please can you remove me from the test group too?

Just out of curiosity, how have you selected the people in the test group? Just a random selection or any common denominators? For example, I subscribed to Premium at the old higher price when COVID broke out for a few years, I no longer subscribe though- completely cynically, I can't help but wonder if Mumsnet are wondering if a 'carrot' of being able to choose pages Vs endless scroll as a Premium option may tempt back previous subscribers?

I know it is horribly cynical, but you are a business 🤷‍♀️

Absolutely hate this change. Bring back pages please! Please remove me from the test group.

QueenOfThorns · 07/03/2025 18:39

Can I be removed from the test group, please? I’m on an iPad and find the site unusable as it is. And could I please not be used as a guinea pig in future without being asked first?
