Why did the "Lisa Johnson One to Many" thread get deleted?

PermanentIyExhaustedPigeon · 19/03/2024 18:26

I've seen the deletion message but don't understand why the comments that broke talk guidelines couldn't have been deleted and the rest of the thread left to stand.

Lisa Johnson claims that she had it removed because she put pressure on MN to do so.

Can anyone from MNHQ clarify please?

@BeMorePositive

"I can see that there are 1300 people in the Facebook group for the course. Some of those will be Lisa’s team and admins. But the bulk of that number will be attendees."

Is from the year that you attended? Or do the cohorts from different years all get added to the same group?

Every year has a new group. So I’m not in the 2024 group obviously.

I came across Mumsnet as there were some people on Threads talking about the fun they had kicked off on Mumsnet.

FACT I want this thread to stay up so I'm being very measured in my opinions of Lisa Johnson and her Facebook groups.

FACT I hadn't ever heard of Lisa Johnson One to many (full name for Google purposes) but having read the original thread my opinion is now very negative of her and the way she's conducted herself and I'll be voicing my opinion wherever possible.

I'm a shocked lowlife with nothing about me, just wasting my time on a gossip site.

Zonder · 20/03/2024 16:02

She also said she was going to ask Mumsnet to hand over the email addresses and names of people who had posted on the thread. I called that sinister, some people may agree with me.

Wow! Has she heard of GDPR, I wonder.

And yet you've only just mentioned that 🤔

I wasn’t aware of any requirement to introduce oneself and say how you found the platform?

Geebray · 20/03/2024 18:30

Well, it just seems like something you would have mentioned in your many posts on the other thread.

Never mind, you're here now.

I’ll take that as a welcome - thank you!

Now it appears LJ has deleted her victory post about the mumsnet post being taken down.

Notice how people who aren't supporting Lisa Johnson aren't jumped on or questioned about how they found the thread. 👀

Thanks for the reply @BeMorePositive My other questions were a bit trickier 😉

Oh you’re right! The post of screenshots is all gone. Just generic defamation posts remain.

GiddyGoldHam · 21/03/2024 10:26

@LurkingLark @ASighMadeOfStone I'm not surprised she took them down. I'm very surprised she kept them up for as long as she did. If I was an anti-bullying charity, I wouldn't want someone campaigning for me that calls people "lowlife." For me, name calling is bullying. And I don't agree with anyone calling Lisa names either. I was bullied and called names at school and I drilled it into my kids that name calling is absolutely a form of bullying and they'd be in big trouble if they did it!

As others have said, it's when you're under pressure that you really show your true colours.

GiddyGoldHam · 21/03/2024 10:30

Has the "sexist" post gone as well? Because I'm sure calling a whole thread sexist, because one person in 29 pages recommended a man (other people recommended women) is in itself sexist.

Geebray · 21/03/2024 10:57

Right, back to some other facts. On the previous thread we noted that Lisa had screenshots of Facebook posts recommending her course, and saying how inspiring they had found it. Some of us looked those people up, and only one seemed to be doing anything she wasn't doing before. She had a Facebook group, like Lisa recommends, which had 7 members. And an Instagram page with one follower.

So now, Lisa has some quotes from named people on her website, in a section called Success Stories. And one of them is really impressive! Lauren Prentice says she's turned over £3 million since doing the course, for her theatre subscription.

The trouble is, company accounts are viewable online. And none us were able to find any evidence that Lauren made thousands of pounds, let alone £3 million. Her theatre subscription company never traded, and was struck off a year after incorporation, never having filed accounts.

Her office supplies subscription box seems to be in business, but making no money.

Can anybody shed any light on this?

Geebray · 21/03/2024 11:03

It is clear however, from Lauren Prentice's Facebook page, that she is an affiliate for - guess what! - Lisa Johnson's One To Many course.

Which brings us to another fact - a lot of the people who take Lisa's course seem to end up being affiliates for her. Which seemed, to many of us, a lot like a MLM model.

I couldn't sign up to anything that asks me to join a "waitlist" (shudder)

Geebray · 21/03/2024 11:11

Another fact - Lisa Johnson and her team make a big deal and a benefit out of the fact that they offer a 14 day refund guarantee. What they don't mention is that legally they have to, under the Distance Selling Directive.

What became clear in the previous thread, is that people who have paid £2,000 for the One To Many course don't get any meaningful feedback as to whether their initial idea is suitable, or interaction with Lisa - until after the refund period is finished.

Garlicking · 21/03/2024 11:14

I've forgotten how to do balance sheets and am quite prepared to be told I'm wrong. Does this mean that, when this was filed a year ago, the business's only assets were on credit and it paid the shareholder zero?

Geebray · 21/03/2024 11:16

Another "Success Story" quoted on Lisa's page is Victoria Dioh. And guess what? Victoria Dioh is an affiliate for Lisa Johnson's One To Many course.

Affiliates get money from Lisa Johnson when people sign up to her course through their links.

And I know that this is going to come as a MASSIVE surprise to you, but Nikki Collinson-Phenix is also an affiliate for Lisa Johnson.

Just in case Lisa changes this web page, like she did for the other one with the testimonials on it:
