To be bored of the trans hate?

Ok, there are extremists (like the punch people in the face person), extremists can be found in many areas of life but is anyone else fed up of the trans stuff constantly being dragged up?

I've seen some ridiculous statements on here recently. Everything gets something added related to trans when it's totally irrelevant. It's getting boring. Trans extremists are not the norm so can we stop pretending they are?

I never understand these posts. If that is what you see go elsewhere. No one is forced to be on a website. Bonkers.

Literally says in there why I’m here 😂

Theeyeballsinthesky · 10/07/2023 11:34

What rights designed solely to protect women are you willing to share with men?

AccidentallyWesAnderson · 10/07/2023 11:34

None, I’m willing to share though.

Ah, so you are willing to throw them away for others just because you are fine. How inclusive.

Thelnebriati · 10/07/2023 11:35

Blossomtoes Single sex services are legal where they are necessary. You may be willing to share them, but you can't consent on behalf of other women; and they are not the extremists you are trying to make them out to be.

PurpleChrayne · 10/07/2023 11:36

The middle ground would be a third space for transpeople. But they don't want that, because it's never been about rights; it's been about domination and oppression of women.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 10/07/2023 11:36

None, I’m willing to share though.

How do you reconcile both the need of women to have privacy and dignity away from the male gaze and sexual harassment with the demands of some males, a proportion of whom are what in the past would have been called "erotic cross dressers", to play out their sexual fantasy of being treated as women ?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 10/07/2023 11:37

Because let's be clear, Stonewall includes cross dresser in the definition of "transgender".

blameless · 10/07/2023 11:38

Peace will break out when we can return to a single, word needing no qualification for the lifelong owner of a 'Bonus hole'.
Things that push such people back to a level of rights that they enjoyed in the Middle Ages are not going to cut it.

whereaw · 10/07/2023 11:39

@Blossomtoes how on earth do you share your rights ? Should a young girl who has been sexually abused feel the same as you? If not, is she transphobic?

StefanosHill · 10/07/2023 11:39

So when posters say middle ground they mean let males in female sports, prisons, changing rooms and refuges

How is that the middle?

NancyDrawed · 10/07/2023 11:39

None, I’m willing to share though.

But as soon as you 'share' a single sex space, service or category with a member of the opposite sex, regardless of their identity, it is no longer a single sex space/service/category, is it? So you would have given that up!

Hepwo · 10/07/2023 11:40

Seeitsayitsalted · 10/07/2023 09:55

YANBU, it’s why most under 30’s don’t touch this site with a barge pole. Needlessly hateful, but then again the general demographic on AIBU especially feeds into it

Maybe they aren't here because:

In 2020 the average age of mothers giving birth to their first child in England and Wales was 29.1 years of age, the highest average age during the provided time period, and this was also the case for mothers having their second, third, and fourth child.1 Mar 2023

Meeting · 10/07/2023 11:41

Blossomtoes · 10/07/2023 11:32

None, I’m willing to share though.

You're going to need to elaborate.

As soon as you 'share' women's spaces, they're no longer women's spaces.
Same with sports.
Same with prisons.
Same with everything.

loislovesstewie · 10/07/2023 11:42

The middle ground is that men don't pretend they can become female and therefore want access female spaces, and that they campaign for, and accept, spaces and categories solely for men who do want to pretend they are women.

GrinAndVomit · 10/07/2023 11:42

Well, precisely. There’s no middle ground.
Either we allow males into women’s spaces based entirely on their say so, or we don’t.

Curseofthenation · 10/07/2023 11:44

@Blossomtoes Women can't fairly share their sports with biological men though. It is women that suffer in this situation. You can lower their testosterone all you like, but they still have larger frames, larger lungs, superior bone density etc from going through a male puberty. There is no middle ground and there is no fair way to share. This is an example of why women are angry. The right to a fair competition for women is being brushed aside to be inclusive to biological men.

BackOfTheMum5net · 10/07/2023 11:44

YANBU. Hopefully it will die out as it seems to be the preserve of older people with no actual experience of trans people, but my god is it depressing to witness.

I’m aware that this mimicking does not produce Breastmilk as such, and I’m aware that the cocktail of drugs used can cause heart issues in babies who are fed this fluid.

You know nothing of the sort 😂

It also does produce breast milk, or human milk when referring to a trans woman.

whereaw · 10/07/2023 11:45

@BackOfTheMum5net like the female prisoners in women's prisons who go on birth control for fear of being raped and becoming pregnant? Would be interested to know their opinions.

rosetintedmemories2023 · 10/07/2023 10:00

Agree I am so bored of it. My SIL who has a 8 month old baby is now worried that her child will get a gender change operation without her consent cos of the trans lobby. Baby can't even walk yet. Meanwhile SIL lives in insecure private rental with v few rights (not in the UK) and no way to buy her own property.

If you ask me, what would make a bigger difference is secure housing for her child. Politicians are just using this as a distraction from the really important issues that need to be solved that affect people's lives in a much more significant way like housing and healthcare. Its a lot easier to say stuff on culture issues than offer up real solutions to real problems

Yeah, I'm easily distracted by politicians. No.

If people are easily distracted why is it that every statement, policy and even personal characteristic coming from government is debated endlessly from all perspectives in the media and online?

Surely if we're easily distracted that would not be the norm?

Are you sure?

AnneLovesGilbert · 10/07/2023 09:59

Only one side is issuing rape and death threats. That’s the hate to be worrying about.

I have never seen any woman wish bad to happen to trans people. But I have seen those threats towards women from trans people. Not all of us are brainwashed into believing that men claiming to be women are the oppressed class.

Tbh op theres a lot of hate and anxiety in general on here. And it does not reflect real life at all!

they hate trans, gay people, men, anyone brown, anyone from a different culture, anyone fat or who dares to eat more than a pickle for lunch. It’s just full of hate, I’m here for the sound people but tbh it’s getting difficult to blank it out now

So trans, gay, men, brown people and anyone from a different culture, fat or skinny aren’t ever hateful? Just us horrible moaning women?

They can be as long as it’s not at the expense of safeguarding and women’s rights.

Like you OP, I am fed up with the trans stuff constantly being dragged up. I'm fed up of my rights as a woman (you know the adult, female human kind) being eroded. I'm fed up of being required to share spaces with men (the male-bodied kind) I'm fed up of the requirement to lie - and pretend that males can actually become females. I'm fed up with it all.
