Just came here to see if there was a thread on this already…. It’s so frustrating! I get that MN need to make money, but when an ad is taking up so much of the screen it feels like little point in using the site, literally can’t read more than a few lines at a time so end up just coming off it. Hoping it’s something easily fixed rather than a permanent change.

Advert blocking half the page at [[https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/4634715-to-not-want-to-hear-any-pretence-again-that-the-bbc-are-impartial so that its difficult to see the image at all

same issue still on this thread. with the advert blocking the top half and the keyboard taking up the rest, the tiny slither of what I can see as I type is ridiculous.

I have this too. The whole "typing into a void because I can't actually see what I'm writing " is adding a certain frisson to my MN experience 😂. But for the record, I have no plans to purchase a Mercedes.

Which is why I haven't got an ad blocker but I can't use MN with this so either leave or use ad blocker which doesn't make MN money.

Actually, it's been going on for years. I honestly don't understand how all other sites are capable of displaying ads properly but mumsnet can't and also never seem to be able to fix it considering I've been having ad problems here for years.

Starting to wonder if mumsnet make extra revenue for 'rogue ads' which force people to not only pay attention to them, but also note the content and take screen shots 'at mumsnet instruction' who then never fix the problem so more people go on and repeat. But I'm cynical like that Grin

I thought it was fixed this morning, reading the updates on threads i'm on then bam up comes the sodding pet sitting ad again blocking half the screen. I don't need a pet sitter!!!!

I'm on android using chrome. It's been happening for the past few days. Have tried clearing cache etc. But no help screenshot happened just now and am typing blind as the pet sitting ad has just dropped down over half the screen!

Just happened again. URL and pics below. Honestly no point coming to mumsnet, can't use it. Seriously fire whoever oversees your IT or tech stuff and hire someone with actual experience and knowledge. I mean, doesn't take years to fix a glitch. And as I've already pointed out, no other website, forums etc have this problem. It is just yours.
