Scam diversions/pop-ups

When on MN, I keep getting diverted to a website telling me that my McAfee sub has expired, & click on the link to renew.

I do use McAfee, but it has not expired.

I ONLY get this on MN , despite having c.20 other windows open.
Anyone else get this scam via MN ?

I think the recent windows update is causing this redirect. I reinstalled windows and deleted all files and the problem persists.

@LilyMumsnet Do you have an update on this? It's been going on for a while now and is making the site also impossible to use at times.

I've been having this too. The Mumsnet site has become unusable for me as a result. It only happens on Mumsnet. I logged off a few days ago and yesterday I cleared all my caches. I've only logged back on now to say this on this thread. To make matters worse, I do have McAfee, so after the first couple I paid to renew my McAfee subscription for two years and now I don't know if that money has actually gone to the right place or not. I received emails that look bona fide but now I can't tell what is the real McAfee and what isn't. They sent me an email about my info being on the dark web with a link but I didn't click it in case it's all part of a scam. I thought it was all just a problem with my Mumsnet account, now I see a lot of people have been having the problem.
