The new platform is really not working well - you only have to look at the list of complaints on Site Stuff

... many (most?) of which are not being addressed by MNHQ.

Come on! It's been some time now since you launched the new platform, and while a smooth transition is probably too much to expect, very little seems to be improving since the launch.

WTAF is going on? When can we expect all the things you're promising to actually happen?

Looking forward to the update on the app then.

Every time I come on MN recently I have to leave after about 5-10 mins as I can't bear reading it with no paragraphs and half the post being cut off .

Yes there seems to be an issue with PMs and Firefox for some reason - are you able to check if you can see them with another browser at all? No worries if not, we're looking into it.

On the Go to Page button you should be able to navigate to the pages using the numbers - does that not work for you in the same way?

And which thread do you mean that's not being updated - we are trying to post as many updates as possible but it's a case of dividing time between that and getting the issues sorted - happy to update any threads you suggest need it though...

I just can't understand why the communications are so poor.

You seem to wait for users to create a thread in Site Stuff, then sporadically reply.

Why don't you have flagged / sticky posts up at the top of the threads eg in Active?

Why don't you have one clear way of updating and why aren't you clearer about what happened? Saying 'oh it's a big old platform, that's why it's complicated' is just a ridiculous excuse for a terrible mess by your developers.

Also, can you please bring back the automatic bolding of the @ function on the app?

Since the changeover, it doesn't automatically bold when you tag, and it's making posts so hard to read.

Surely it's a tiny thing to do? It was reported weeks ago.

Hi @EarringsandLipstick Sorry that this is frustrating - as I said above, it's the same team trying to work out what's causing the problems and then giving the information to tech so they can fix them as it is doing their best to post updates. It's also not straightforward to post updates as it's sometimes quite tricky to know what's causing the problem and not always clear when they can/will be fixed by. That said, we can do better in keeping the Known Issues page as up-to-date as possible - some of the issues just take a little while to track down and fix. Will think about how we can do it better - thanks for feedback.

it's still tight there on my iPhone. Along with huge adverts I can't scroll past, threads that don't load. Crashing when trying to write posts.... generally just a nightmare.

For me the page issue is that it takes longer to get to a particular page. If I want to get to page 10 and I have <1,2…17,18> it is slower than a box I can number in. I’m on a phone and I find it harder to navigate now.

If you are defaulting to just the dates rather than today/yesterday could today/yesterday be an optional setting?

Haven't RTWT but I have found that when scrolling through a thread, the site just randomly closes down. I have never had this issue before until two days ago. I've logged out/in and made no difference. I'm on app on iPad 9th gen 15.1.
So frustrating as have to find the thread I was reading and the place I'd got to, only for it to happen again. Intermittent issue though, not happening every time.

Can we have the return to button back please? But if possible, have it just jump back to the top instead of having to watch the page super speed scroll. I had to look away after hitting it on the previous mumsnet! But it was better than no button at all and having to manual scroll. I do hope this stuff gets ironed out soon, I'm finding the new version a pretty poor experience (although I do have paragraphs now! I didn't before ever on my own posts! Although it seems like I'm the only one 😂). I'm gradually spending less and less time on here through irritation so I don't mind too much. My mornings are much more efficient!

Please bring back the box to put the page number you want to go to, it’s beyond infuriating having to go through all the pages to get to the one you want and while you are at it bring back next and previous, in fact just bring back the old format full stop.

This thread that JustineMumsnet (who's username doesn't come up when you try to @ her anymore?) started. Unfortunately I can't use a different browser atm. Firefox is my main browser normally so I don't really want to have to use another that doesn't work so well for me purely to access MN.

The go to page button is the "..." button in between the page numbers right? <- just checking, not being arsey.
If so when I click on it nothing happens. It used to bring up a little box that you could type the page number into.

Weirdness happening with my paragraphs there too, just as another heads up.

And sorry yes the numbers work to navigate the pages... but if it's a long thread sometimes the page number you want isn't showing, hence the usefulness of the go to page button?

So for eg: The other thread I linked is 20 pages long, the buttons for pages 1-6,19 & 20 are the only ones showing so if I want to go to a page 7-18 I have to take extra steps to get there.

It's not the end of the world, I'm more concerned about the PM issue tbh, but it's still annoying.

Please can you correct the photos being too small. It makes so many threads pointless as you cant see the image properly when you click on it as it is still too small. Many people have asked about this and I have sent messages to yourselves. Would prefer it if you would return to the old format for everything! Thank you

the posts suddenly all appear in bold from 13/05/2022 23:34 onwards. Even the text in the message box when I'm typing a post is bold. This is only happenning on this one specific thread, every where else is ok. Not all users on the thread are experiencing this either.
