Should we have separate sections i.e black hair and beauty, black parenting, black cooking or a general black section?

No, of course not. I merely mentioned that another person on this thread had voiced a different opinion from yours. I wouldn't expect either their opinion or yours to be held by all black people.

I don't make assumptions about anybody based on the colour of their skin.

As it was me that used the word, it wouldn't be fair to dab it off @EchoCardioGran . I have all the others though!

I think it’s a great idea having a Black MN. I personally would start with one section with that heading as several other people have suggested and see what topics are most popular before creating more headings. After all the subject heading gives you the detail you need anyway.

I think it is unfair to make the statement “how white people have treated us”, not all white people are racist. Some of your comments sound like you are very rigid in your thinking and come across in a very unpleasant way. Many of the statements you have made sound like you harbour some discriminatory views about white people.

I applaud you for making all this effort to encourage MN to have a black section but I’m not sure I entirely agree with the way you are doing it. That’s just my opinion obviously. BTW I am mixed race Black Caribbean / White if that makes any difference to anything.

I think the section should be called Fred.
I had a pet tortoise called Fred.RIP. The only pet I was ever allowed.
He was a Rastafarian I believe.

@EchoCardioGran thought of mentoring as a pp (sorry not to remember who that is), mentioned their studies at an Oxbridge university and I thought education could be widened. Importance as may be useful for students looking at future education and work opportunities, a network for advice as graduates look for careers.
