Mumsnet not working on safari on iPad?

I can open the site but can't click on any thread, on 'I'm watching' or, basically do anything.
Is it my problem or a site problem?

Replicate what though? The tinkering that Tech was doing at the beginning of this month with other things, but when it all started going pear-shaped with iPads?

@MumsnetHQ really like to know what's happening with this. problem is even worse making Munsnet unusable on iPad/Safari
I've had to download the app and I Really Do Not Like It.

Just wanted wanted to add that I'm having the exact same issue, been this way for about a month. Sometimes it works fine, but more often than not the screen will randomly freeze when I'm reading a post, I can't scroll up or down and it takes a while before I can even close my browser window to reload something else. Very frustrating. I can't load the Mumsnet app because I don't have enough storage on my phone. I'm also on an iPhone, Safari. It hasn't been too bad today, only crashed a couple of times and I've not had to reload this post. But it can be intermittent.

This is the 4th week of us having this problem now - MNHQ you seem disinterested and uncaring that so many of your users are unable to use your site.

So sorry, everyone, we know this is hugely frustrating.

Tech just haven't been able to replicate this - and we're afraid it's not likely to be fixed over the weekend. We've nudged them and should hear back early next week.

MNHQ don't you think it is now time to get in a new tech with more expertise to sort out this problem? You have been saying for 4 weeks that Tech can't rectify the problem so you should get someone in who can. An example of why I say you are acting disinterested and uncaring towards your users is your comment that you have 'nudged' him about it - this word sounds dismissive when you have been told repeatedly by numerous users for 4 weeks now that we can't use your site properly, surely this should be at the top of your list of priorities to make sure the problem is rectified.

I've been on MN for over ten years now, and tbh I could really do with some support from my go-to place after a recent diagnosis of incurable cancer- God knows I've put the hours in over the years! Yet it's taking me several goes to read the threads I'm on, and it keeps crashing when I try to post. It's become incredibly frustrating to use, and I'm sad about it.

I am going by my own experience of my screen freezing and the experience of the other users who have been posting on this thread about the same problem. Not sure how you would quantify "many" yourself or your reason for questioning it but there is a significant problem with using the site at the moment that those of us who are affected would be grateful to have rectified.

Thanks, Mary- I didn't mean to miseryplop, but I do want to emphasise to MNHQ (and everyone really) that these things aren't necessarily trivial. I know it's a free-to-use site and I'm not entitled to a decent user experience, but many of us have contributed to this community for a long time and I just feel that the techs need to get on top of this issue because it is clearly happening to a lot of us.

Just wanted to add my frustration too. Have basically given up trying to access MN from my ipad, now only use desktop. Could it be something to do with the unsupported ipads?? I am using an ipad 3 which only goes up to update 9. something, and I know that Apple have discontinued support for any of the out of date systems...... really frustrated, as I believe this may be an issue for a lot of the older/not mainstream media accounts.

This is the first time in about 3 days or so I've managed to even access the mumsnet chat pages. It's been horrendous. And it's only this site affected as I've managed to access other chat sites no issue.

Just to add I have been having the same problems accessing mumsnet on iPhone and iPad.its been going on for weeks now and it's incredibly frustrating .so disappointing to see nothing has been resolved for so long

I was going to start a thread on this - but see that it is here. i cannot access Mnet on my ipad anymore - it will open up and then either freeze or just not scroll. I loaded up the APP but as i click on that from my ipad it just closes down. I have been unable to access mumsnet via my ipad and even iphone is difficult for a few weeks now.

The only way I can access it is via my work computer - but i would prefer to be able to have it at home where I can read at my leisure, rather than a few snatched minutes when i have a break.
