Could you explain the deletions for calling out racism please?

Some, but not all perhaps harshly worded, but how else do you say racism is shit? I am talking about the deletions on the thread about the golliwog mugs.

Janey, I don't find every negative comment about foerigner as racist at all. I have many friends who have no problem me being foreign, and know some people who wouldn't come near me because I'm foreign.
I have so many people who help me on MN, who may know I am foreign and who doesn't.
I think I derailed this thread from racism.It's not my intention. I just wanted to say, that I really doubt some people who shout they understand racism doesn't really, they think they are, but they don't really unless they are the receiving end. Someone said I was a disablest, because I have dodgy view about autism, yeah right, I have a child with suspected asd(undiagnosed), so I really should have dodgy view , they are able enough to follow me into MN, must be able to AS!

Janey, an opinion about someone who is mixed race which takes the fact that they are mixed race and attempts to turn that fact into a point of some nature is as ludicrous as it is prejudiced.

If you mean (as I assume you do) that having an opinion about MM isn’t in itself racist, I agree, except that the opinions are uncomfortable reading insomuch as they attempt to gripe around for a reason they dislike her and unfortunately as much as people try to swim away from the current of racism, their point always drags them back there.

To may, just for may, I won't comment on other site but I tell you. I have no inconsistencies, because I won't lie. Just AS my name I have nothing to hide. I have whole history behind me.

If had really thought about it, I wouldn’t have posted it at all, but I received the picture in my lunch break at work and was so shocked! I’ve never seen anything with that imagery being sold before and genuinely thought it was a rarity, but was interesting to know that it’s not (in sea side towns).

If people are racist out of ignorance, it doesn’t bother me so much. You can’t help being thick. But when you’ve had it explained to you and still carry on being racist that’s when it become malicious and that is what pisses me off and is the real problem.

Yes, I am a bit ott this evening to my liking Janey, they even made a thread in my name! I would read, but never DV anyone like they say I do, that's not my style. But they assume I would. I have too much things going on in RL with my child, no time to be bothered about silly stalker following me around.

No @NotUmbongoUnchained, I think the thread was useful. It was a complaint about racists and lots of racists turned up. Perhaps one of them now believes that gollywogs are not just a toy.

I wish there was way maybe that instead of the comment being deleted, it gets highlighted as a shit comment. That way people can still see it and learn from it.

I didn’t see the thread in question, but there’s one particular poster who seems to be drawn constantly to threads around race, ethnicity, BAME experiences, the Holocaust, persistently denying, downplaying and engaging in whataboutery when it comes to any of these issues. Just the right side of the talk guidelines of course, and the sort of wide-eyed racism referenced above.

I hope MNHQ wake up to it, as it makes for ugly reading.
