Weird behaviour with "back" button in browser - anyone else?

Over the last few days I've noticed if I'm browsing Active, I'm On or a talk topic and click onto a thread from there, when I press back to return to the list of threads afterwards, it often seems to skip that page and go straight to whatever thread I was reading before that, which is very odd. It doesn't happen every time, but enough for me to notice. I have thought maybe I've clicked back twice by mistake and gone forward again, but it's like the interim page is just deleted from my history as though I never visited it at all.

Is anyone else getting this? It's really strange and disorientating.

I'm on Chrome on Windows 10 on a desktop.

Still happening!!!!!!! Driving me crazy now!!!!! I have a mumsnet routine and thisbis ruining it. I was reading some classics the other day and now 7 times out of 10 when I'm reading a thread from active, click back and it's taking me to the classics list again and again and again.

I think I've managed a screen recording. Sods law that it only happened once the whole recording. Usually much more often than that.

It didn't happen for age for me yet it's jumped back to my login page from active 3 times in a row. How can you not know what's happening?!

Yeah it's been happening for me for ages now. Its such a pain

Me too. I thought it was my ancient phone playing up.

It's been much worse today, both on my chromebook and my phone.

...One thing I've noticed, which I don't know if it's relevant, is that on the drop down menu on my android phone, the description for the active conversations link often has the description of an old link. I've only noticed this since the back button issue started.

When I just tried to go back to active on my phone, it chose the dietary request AIBU page instead of active.

I've not experienced this for a few days now....

It's just constant today, literally every time I press back it's as if I pressed it 3 times, or it jumps back to what I looked at yesterday (which ironically was this thread). Please fix it, it's getting really annoying.

It's still happening, and happening a lot more over the last week.

Whether I use my laptop, my iPad or my iPhone it happens.

Threads leaping around all over the place.

There appears to be 2 urls for active. Could this have anything to do with it? Neither have been typed in, both are off links?

I’ve not been on mumsnet as much because of this but it had been ok for me for a week or so. Yesterday/today it’s doing it constantly. Really frustrating.

Any news? I've just been on active, went there straight from Google, clicked a thread and then clicked back which took me back to google, skipping the active list. It did this three times in a row. I sometimes get 2 URLs that Justified has pictured but sometimes not.

It would be good to know if it will be fixed one day, it's really quite annoying!

Yep, it's back again. Been happening for a few days. And I'm even on a new phone, so it's not that!

Still happening for me- iPhone 6s using safari.

Also annoying ‘slipping’ of the page after you use the back button. Means you click on a thread in active and the page slips down and you end up clicking on a thread higher up the page than the one you wanted. Does that make sense? Is anyone else experiencing this? (RTFT is probably the answer )

Yes this happens to me too. And if I click on threads I’m on it takes me to the bottom of the list

Plus active convos still reloads after I return to it from the first thread I click on. When I can return, that is.
