Weird behaviour with "back" button in browser - anyone else?

Over the last few days I've noticed if I'm browsing Active, I'm On or a talk topic and click onto a thread from there, when I press back to return to the list of threads afterwards, it often seems to skip that page and go straight to whatever thread I was reading before that, which is very odd. It doesn't happen every time, but enough for me to notice. I have thought maybe I've clicked back twice by mistake and gone forward again, but it's like the interim page is just deleted from my history as though I never visited it at all.

Is anyone else getting this? It's really strange and disorientating.

I'm on Chrome on Windows 10 on a desktop.

Still happening to me too. And active now refreshing when I go back to it as well which it wasn't doing before.

Yeh, active convos refreshing every time you go back is super annoying.

Actually, for me, the active convos constantly refreshing is MORE annoying than not being able to use the back button.

The active convos refreshing constantly is awful. Please can this be looked at urgently? Thanks

Yes, I've just come on to say how annoying it is for active conversations to refresh every time I go back to it. I see a couple of threads I might want to read, read one, return to active and they're all gone. And yes, every now and again, the page is still skipping a page when I press back.

This has been happening to me since the last windows 10 update. Drives me bonkers when I click the back button and don'g go back to the previous page, but something else instead.

Another one getting frustrated that active conversations are refreshing every time you go back.

Happening to me too, was having the jumping back several pages issue on my old iPhone, now having the reloading active convos and not storing the active page issue on new iPhone. Very annoying

I'm also having the refreshing active conversations on my laptop and my phone, it's quite disconcerting.

So fed up of this now. Back button still playing up and the active conversations being refreshed when the back button does work. I have stepped back from mumsnet because I was so fed up of it all, came on to see if it had been fixed, but NO!!! Its been way too long now. Patience has all gone with this issue!!

Hopefully I've just managed to send HQ a video of it happening again. It was fine for about 20mins there then happened again out of the blue!

And mine repeatedly says ‘there is an error’ and the page refreshes so i have to scroll back to where i was

So a weird new twist tonight - the back button is greyed out and deactivated on the mums net page!

I think it's even more broken this weekend. As well as still not being able to go BACK, lots of posts are appearing multiple times.

Same here. Active constantly reloading.

On the plus side it is making mumsnet virtually unusable for me so I’m spending less time on it and more time doing the housework. So maybe not such a bad thing 🤔

Well the reloading now only happens the first time I return to active convos but the back button has stopped working 90% of time
