Weird behaviour with "back" button in browser - anyone else?

Over the last few days I've noticed if I'm browsing Active, I'm On or a talk topic and click onto a thread from there, when I press back to return to the list of threads afterwards, it often seems to skip that page and go straight to whatever thread I was reading before that, which is very odd. It doesn't happen every time, but enough for me to notice. I have thought maybe I've clicked back twice by mistake and gone forward again, but it's like the interim page is just deleted from my history as though I never visited it at all.

Is anyone else getting this? It's really strange and disorientating.

I'm on Chrome on Windows 10 on a desktop.

I don't know if it's connected but now the site has also started going to the top of whatever page I'm on, (like I've scrolled up) while I'm in the middle of reading, it does it a lot on the active threads page so you never get to the end!

Still going on. MN are you any closer to fixing it, it's so annoying!
Keeps taking me to the top of active as well.

This happens for me all the time using safari on a MacBook Air. What is so strange too is that often it goes back to a thread I haven't read for weeks! It does not happen on my iPhone - I don't use the app, just the mobile site.

HOW is this still happening?? It’s really impacting on my experience of song MN, and it’s frustrating that the tech team doesn’t seem to be taking it seriously.

So a weird new twist tonight - the back button is greyed out and deactivated on the mums net page! If i click onto any other tab I have open, it works, but not on Mumsnet! This is on a MacBook air on safari.

Still doing it to me Today, though it's sporadic so I never know if it will happen or not. The Active list reloads each time I go back (when I do go back to it, and not the page I looked at prior to MN). That's a real pain.

And I still can't bookmark anything at all on my android mobile or Windows laptop using Chrome. Bookmark button just does not exist anywhere - it used to and I used it a lot! Reported a few times ages ago and gave all my details, but still broken. Android app has bookmarks, but I much prefer the website version tbh.

I've been having the issue for ages on my phone (but not PC) of the back button not taking me back to the active convo's page but instead jumping back 2 or more pages.

Today on my PC (I wasn't on yesterday) I am having the issue of the back button taking me back to active but reloading. IE first thread
Introvert, 2nd cat cost, 3rd back button. I click to read introvert, then back to active which should be the same list so I can read cat cost, but instead it has refreshed and those threads are now way down the list and I have 3 brand new threads in 1st 2nd and 3rd place.

Yes, it's still happening for me. I just used my phone for about 5 minutes, and it happened three times.
