Says she didn't troll hunt on the threads but reported. And has been banned for over reporting? Hardly her fault if there's lots of trolls to report?

And if your view is so distorted that you don't believe alternative views should be allowed then I think the same applies.

Exactly. I've never seen a rule about not PMing about other posters. I've been here about 14 years and would say 90% of the messages I've ever had have been about other posters!

I was responding to someone's post about reporting, no need to reply then. Lots of reasons for reporting, not all as you present them.

Whatever the reason, I'm very sorry to hear that Stratters has been banned. I hope it'll turn out to be a temporary thing.

It certainly feels like hq have a different direction of late, maximise the clicks, discourage the posters who remember when it were all fields round here.

HQ don't give a fuck. As long as they're making money they don't care who get conned, sexually abused as long as we all STFU and toe the party line.

I'm think I'm more sympathetic with MNHQ than a lot of you despite the fact I've been on the receiving end of a well deserved 1 week suspension for troll hunting I think there are lots of deliberately contrary and nasty posters about as well as the countless trolls. They are the ones who ruin the site. It would literally be impossible for MNHQ to make decisions if they were trying to keep everyone happy.

A lot of the well known posters are gratingly outspoken. It's off putting. I love hearing other people's differing opinions but I don't like it when posters are unnecessarily sharp.

Soubriquet - there is a new MN sub-reddit, initially set up to discuss the David and Caroline threads but it has now turned into "what about X poster, are they for real?" discussions, which seems very much Not Cricket to me...
