What actually are your plans to deal with disablism on MN?

You remember you were going to impliment all kinds of things, Message which explained posts were deleted due to disablism, Emails to the posters, proactive buzzwords...

a year on what has been the result of this massive change in moderation?

Now i'm not suggesting this was a carrot, dangled to try and stop people leaving....
But we donkeys ARE getting a little tired of walking and woudl like to know what plans are there for the future to stop attacks.

Would be nice if they could do something a bit longer term to keep it out, though

It's clearly a poster who is a regular site member setting up new accounts.

"Special Snowflake" suggests they know the terminology of the site.

Special snowflake is all over the Internet and part of modern lexicon to make derogatory remarks towards liberals or activists. It really isn't unique to MN.

Surprised there isnt a filter in place to prevent user names with offensive words like that in.

To be honest its offensive seeing the name there still even if post deleted.

It is. I ah r asked for it to be deleted. As they would a racist user name, etc.

I asked mumsnet if the name could be changed on the deleted post on another thread they posted in, not sure if it's possible though.

Good idea to get the name changed.

Is most of this happening during the day? I've not seen specific posts but I get there's a troll going around the site deliberately posting inflammatory threads?

Targeting disabled posters, using the R word in their usernames, sending out abusive PMs to people, i think happens in the mornings mostly.

some people actually have no shame

The original thread was calling Dawns DD a C.u n.t, then posting about how we asked for equility so were getting it, if he wants to buy apack of fags he will park in disabled places to do it.... and so on
and it's got more and more abusive since then.

And in fairness to HQ over the last two days they've stopped it pretty much as soon as it starts.
