What actually are your plans to deal with disablism on MN?

You remember you were going to impliment all kinds of things, Message which explained posts were deleted due to disablism, Emails to the posters, proactive buzzwords...

a year on what has been the result of this massive change in moderation?

Now i'm not suggesting this was a carrot, dangled to try and stop people leaving....
But we donkeys ARE getting a little tired of walking and woudl like to know what plans are there for the future to stop attacks.

Is MNHQ still reading this?

In all fairness madness, deletions are happening within seconds, so I do think they're keeping an eye. Other than that, maybe they're discussing it and trying to come up with a solution.

We're really sorry about this. We know how much of a pain it is to see re-registering trolls pop up. Unfortunately, there just isn't a great deal we can do about it. We do ban them and block IPs, but it's very simple to get a new one or even 'throw' your ip, so that it looks like you're posting from somewhere else. We're in the process of talking to tech about this, but we can't make any promises (as much as we would like to). We are listening, though, and we will continue to zap and ban as quickly as we're able to.

Looking at other posts I rather think this one is your normal common or garden troll, not the earlier, more persistent one. They seem to be running through SN threads being just generally horrible. Could be wrong, though.

This particular one is currently posting crap 'advice' on threads about disabled children. Now that's what I call cunty.

You do have to wonder though, with such odd behaviour as going around making shitty comments on SN boards, if they aren't mentally unwell or mentally unstable.

A couple of years ago there was a troll who went through the SN boards and blamed 'autism' on sex out of marriage, it's a punishment from god apparently.

I was married when I had DD so that stuffs that theory.
My parents were also married - in autistic!

Yes lots of posters replied that they were married when they had their Dc's Bishop. It was the first time i'd seen a troll like that and it was pretty funny so sticks into my memory.
