Update to webchat guest colours

Hi,
This is a heads up that we're soon to introduce a change to the colours used to highlight posts on desktop and mobile.

If you've been around long enough to have the old style customised colours this won't affect you.

For newer users - we needed to add some new web chat guest colours and retire the awful mustard yellow we used in the past on desktop webchats. As a result of that we then needed to update our other colours too.

The colours are far to pale, really difficult to pick out

MNHQ Pretty pretty pretty please change it back! The new colour scheme is awful :(

If it ain't broke don't fix it !!!!

Mine's changed again so that now my posts are a paler shade of pale MNHQ. This just gets weirder Have screen shot but won't bore you.

Giving me a headache squinting to work out which is which.
Pleas can you make them darker MNHQ?

I'm surprised by how much this is winding me up. Who knew I was so reliant on MN for my relaxation

The colours are very pale, I'm finding it quite difficult, as I have Macular Degeneration. Will it stay this way ?

Actually I will bore you as now I can't see much difference at all between my posts and MNHQ's

MNHQ have gone back to blue!!

It's still pale but it's a start....

I am colour blind, I can't tell the difference now!!! Way too subtle.

Can anyone else picture MNHQ dragging their heels and sulking trying to change it slightly. Enough to please us or at least stop us whinging and to achieve their aim of pastel colours?

My colours have always been Lavender and pink on the mobile site.

It's never been green previoulsy

As everyone else says, they are now far, far too pale. I hope you can darken them.

OK, I'm now green but I used to be pinkypurple. I like pinkypurple. It suits me. Green doesn't suit my skin tone at all

Thank you for telling us how you feel, we are listening and have received the message loud and clear re the changed colours being too pale. We'll take another look at darker shades.

Darker shades? Why can't you just turn it back to how it was? Plleeeaaaasssseeeeeeeee?

Jessica. It's almost impossible to tell the difference

Op posts have now turned a pinky colour but its still too pale. Plus pink isnt a nice colour.

Please, please, please, please revert to using the same darker colours as before, even if we are no longer able to personalise which colours we use for what. At least the original colours are easy to read and find when scrolling through.

Why try to fix what wasn't broken? 😭
