Update to webchat guest colours

Hi,
This is a heads up that we're soon to introduce a change to the colours used to highlight posts on desktop and mobile.

If you've been around long enough to have the old style customised colours this won't affect you.

For newer users - we needed to add some new web chat guest colours and retire the awful mustard yellow we used in the past on desktop webchats. As a result of that we then needed to update our other colours too.

Ok I've tinkered.

I selected 'forest green' for the OP's posts.

They're now a weird shade of 'cat sick peach'

It looks as though there is either a screwed up setting in the code - translating stuff wrongly... or a simple mess up in the database (depending on how it is coded) so that when you select e.g. grey which might be a hex value such as #333333 instead you are getting a salmon pink which is hex value of #ebd9e4 (dusky pink pastel type vile colour )

so for those with customised settings there is little point in playing / worrying - the techs have got a bug and are now doubt running around the MNHQ office with a borrowed gin bottle trying to squash the bug (at least I hope they are!)

I have now changed from that awfull green but it's only on desktop version, goes right back if I go to mobile version!

I've sorted mine now by selecting Olive in customise which gives me back the shade of green I was using before, but it wasn't called Olive before I'm sure!

Mine are fine on ipad and desktop but not on iphone

Just checked my customize options. I should be on Forest Green for OP and Olive for me but I still see Vomit Pink for OP and duck-egg blue for me (quite like that one actually). I'm on a Windows laptop using Chrome.

Right. I've worked out that Forest Green and Silver both give the same shade of vomit pink but all the other colours are what they say so if I change OP to Dusky Lavender it's a much nicer shade of mauve. I'll stick with that.

Olive is definitely duck-egg blue so that's staying.

Well the colours seem to have become darker again (great), but I'm definitely not back to my customised colours.

How do I change from being pink? I fucking hate pink. Horrible, horrible colour.

I'be changed to olive (duck egg blue, not too bad) from forest green aka cat sick pink.

Customise is on the drop down from the arrow next to Talk at top left hand on desk top site.

How come my colours have changed, even though you said the oldies wouldnt change?

The two worst colours in the world - peach and fecking pink!!

I dont want to customise them in case you change them all again!

Ive just bit the bullet and customised as I despise peach and pink that much. Changed OP to Olive and mine to Silver and they are still rotting peach and fecking pink!!

I have changed to Olive (pale duck egg/aqua)

and Heather Blush ( v v pale pink - not unpleasant)

Quite restful but I WANT MY SILVER BACK!

Even weirder is that on my laptop, the desktop version has the OP posts in MNHQ blue now

Mine seem to be working now on my iPad, I've picked silver for OP and dark lavender for mine and it looks ace.
