Update to webchat guest colours

Hi,
This is a heads up that we're soon to introduce a change to the colours used to highlight posts on desktop and mobile.

If you've been around long enough to have the old style customised colours this won't affect you.

For newer users - we needed to add some new web chat guest colours and retire the awful mustard yellow we used in the past on desktop webchats. As a result of that we then needed to update our other colours too.

Suits me and the pale vomit yellow seems to have been banished so that's good.

they're fine, as long as they work on desktop, i'm not using mobile, and my colours are too pale to make out.

Although please, please, please don't make my posts pink. I hate pink with a passion! I hate pink so much that my posts being that colour would push me over the edge and stop me wasting time posting on MN.

I am, however, an old colour-customiser and (so far) my colours haven't changed at all. To add insult to injury to those of you who like guest 4's colour, that's my customised OP colour!

I've been registered on mumsnet for 5/6 years, so I don't know why my original customised colours have disappeared. I don't really mind what colours there are, but they need to be darker and actually show up. I'm just getting a bit fed up with so much faff.

I'm so glad I've found this thread, I thought I'd done something wrong and I've been trying to change my computer settings to darken the colours for the last few days. I can hardly see the light colours so yes any change to darker colours would help. Either of the two on the link look OK to me.

Darker colours better (thanks Catz I, too, couldn't follow the link). And in agreement with a lot of others that Guest 4 colour for my posts which, actually would return to what I had originally.

Darker definitely better. I've given up caring which colours exactly as long as they stand out!

Oh thank God I've found this thread - I thought it was just me!

I bloody hate the pale colours. I used to have OP as green and me as lilac. Now it's all wishy washy and confusing. I don't like it - but if we can't have customisation back then at least make the colours darker. The customise option was better though.

Yes when will these be implemented? I was on my iPad last night which has all the old lovely dark colours on it, then back to my phone this morning (with crappy insipid pale colours). It is so much harder to read and I'm having to 'find' the op with a search page function because I can't tell the difference

Also another vote not to make us pink. Pink is the worst
