"We don't think that this thread is disablist, it is a valid discussion that we don't think should be shut down. "

yet it has obviously been reported.
cause hurt and upset

Message from MNHQ: Thanks so much for all the reports about this.

Although there has been some interesting debate and discussion, we do agree that the OP and some of what ensues is disablist, so we have decided to delete.

how can these be interesting debates??
\not long ago mn hq said that they were going to be quicker dealing with this stuff
what happened??

What are the odds that HQ are going to turn up to weigh in on the one person derailing before they address the disabilism? [Fatalistic emoticon]

I liked trying to find the burn in the sea of bums too.

Ah, I've found it. I was having a go at people who wanted a teacher tarred and feathered and probably got a bit cross.

I'll leave you to your self righteousness now.

BeyondLovesSweetDee · 21/08/2016 18:57

Ta-ra! :)

Self righteousness, much more worthy these days, not offensive.... stick in SN brigade and PC gorn mad and its a veritable smorgasbord of daily mailisms.
Pretty much the kind of stuff we want HQ to look at.

Just5minswithDacre · 21/08/2016 19:02

Oh did you rack up multiple deletions on that thread silver?

No I meant the one right at the start.

I enjoyed the burn in the bums too

Grin

We could play it on goady as fuck threads.

BeyondLovesSweetDee · 21/08/2016 19:04

Pointing out that a teacher is very likely breaking the social media clause in their contract =/= tarring and feathering. Due to, y'know, a lack of tar or feathers...

It's going to be far more helpful if people only contribute to the thread if they actually care about the issue of disablism and how it affects people.
There's not really much point in people commenting who don't actually give a shit about how other people feel. That's what's causing the problem in the first place.

PigPigTrotters · 21/08/2016 19:14

I enjoyed the burn in bums, reminds me of DorkingDan's (or something like that!) Christmas threads, looking for the clicky link dot.

I'm waiting for dp to get out the bath so I can take the dog up and wash its arse

Confused presumably you are washignt he dogs arse and not the husbands?

Just5minswithDacre · 21/08/2016 19:16

Funny you should say that Dixie. I'm just pondering the issue of how to trim the dog's arse-beard.

Long running controversy in this house that nobody wants to solve.

I feel a metaphor coming on....

Thanking my lucky stars that my dogs have clean bottoms.

Jasonandyawegunorts · 21/08/2016 19:30

I'm glad i don't have a dog sometimes

TiggyOBE · 21/08/2016 19:42

I went to the chemist for hair removal cream for my dog with a similar problem.
He gave me a cream and said "put this cream on your face and don't wear make-up for 24 hours"
I said "It's not for my face".
He replied "In that case use THIS cream on your legs but don't wear stockings for 24 hours."
I said "No no no, it for my little Chihuahua!"
He said "Oh! In that case use this cream and don't ride your bike for a week!"
