What happened yesterday?

I can't find any explanation of why mn was down. With the odd redirect and the history of the site over the summer, it would be rather good to have an explanation please.

Just to say it all seems to work fine for me and very glad to have you back (Chrome and used my bookmark set to 'threads i'm on')

Can get into Active, I'm On now. Can't get into AIBU. Not sure of all other forums. It seems random.

Mobile site remains unusable for me (Nokia Lumia phone) and has been for about a week now with no progress. Any updates?

This is what I get when I put a search in. I have been waiting all day and I know there are still others who still think the site is down because this is what they see on a search.

I only got in here through the FB link too. All else was saying that the site was down, and some parts of it still are.

I appreciate all the hard work. Unfortunately, it isn't quite right yet for many of us.

I can't get onto Chat. Says the website's still down.

Working fine for me on Google chrome.

I had to car my cache to get the site working again.

I once deleted an investment bank production database mid-morning .

Somehow I kept my job and they put me in change of tightening up security to make sure it couldn't happen again!

Thank you, QueenStromba for posting ^ . I thought I had cleared everything relevant, but was still getting the tempproblem page. I followed your instructions and everything's hunkydory now.

Not right here either i can only get in through your link on fb.

I'd been tootling along just fine, apart from some slow posting, but just got an "oops we have a problem" when clicking the link for active conversations.

Just scrolled right down to Popular Talk Forums clicked on Chat and got the site down message....please join us on fb or twitter.

I just lost the site again for the past half hour or so.

Yes, after asking on Twitter (there was no announcement) MN said they were doing a restart and it would be back up in 10 mins.

What actually is wrong at the moment, MN? The site appears to have gone back to its default setting of 'on its arse'.

Ah thanks- I did look on Twitter, but obviously before that post! (I wandered over somewhere else and burnt my eyes reading a post that contained words like "gud" "nawty" and "havein"... Shudder)

cleared cache and after that couldnt get back on MN at all even through fb link. Have got on just now but its very up and down.

I reckon the restore wasn't quite right - users out of sync. Or the wrong settings were used to start it up.

BTW, the link on the side says "Mumsnet vloggers' Lidl grocery hauls". I swear I read "bloggers" before. Has someone hacked the site and altered the letter to irritate me?

Giddy - I think you're right. Something is amiss.

Very hit and miss and I've been having trouble for the last 7 days. It also freezes safari completely when it's offline and I can't shut it down. Very odd.

I've never heard of Netmums breaking like this, and so often.

Just sayin'.
