Some of the responses to posts are hilarious and I just want to show that person that I agree!

Come on mumsnet team it's a no brainer! Smile

Add the word 'agree' if you'd like to see that! (See if there was a like button it would be soooo much easier...)

oh god, can you imagine? People are huffy enough, just picture the carnage if we were allowed to play with 'like' buttons. Grin

I vote no.

But I should disclose that I also voted against changing the layout of mumsnet, complained bitterly when Classic mumsnet was no longer the only way things were displayed, hurumphed about the introduction of pages and am still sulking because they won't give me boggle but in all the time I have been pestering for it, they have given the biscuit, the bear, a dragon, cake, flowers, tea, wine and now apparently we can have flags and a variety of little sporty pictures.

So you may wish to disregard my opinion. Grin

Change is bad, but after a while it stops being change and is the norm and no one cares any longer and wonders why they kicked up such a fuss.

BigPawsBrown · 18/06/2014 15:45

I would like a like button. Or at least the ability to 'tag' a username (drop down list as you type?) and that user would then get notified.

WorraLiberty · 18/06/2014 15:54

I vote yes

I always feel really rude if someone has made a little comment addressed to me way up a thread, and I don't acknowledge them because the thread has moved on.

Clicking 'like' can be an acknowledgement as well as saying you agree with someone.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 18/06/2014 15:58

No, thank you.

scotchtikidoll · 18/06/2014 16:01

I'm chilled out and I still say 'no.'

I don't care if 99 percent of MNetters disagree with one of my posts. It would still be my opinion. I don't need validation.

HaroldLloyd · 18/06/2014 16:02

In for it, I like a like.

FourForksAche · 18/06/2014 16:02

No likeeee.

SarcyMare · 18/06/2014 16:08

i like them, it isn't about validation it is about not having to read pages and pages or repittion (yes i know it is spelt wrong). in a conversation you can nod when someone speaks to let everyone know you agreee but have nothing to add, in a conversation you don't stop the flow for 20 people to repeat each other or say "yes i agree with frank" you nod or make small agreement sounds. and you allow the conversation to flow with new ideas, interesting directions, or contradictory points of view.

FairPhyllis · 18/06/2014 16:08

No. One of the nicest things about MN is that it has a really clean look - it differentiates it from other forums. I don't want tickers, likes, poster ratings or any other extra shit.

I am not that sold on the photos, but they are useful for looking at people's cats. They can stay as long as they are not being overused.

Those football flags had BETTER go away after the World Cup.

InspirationFailed · 18/06/2014 16:09

I would like a Like button

Fenton · 18/06/2014 16:12

Since Sparkers beat me to it with 'dislike'..

I don't want this change though.

Disagree

wafflyversatile · 18/06/2014 16:26

MrsBungle · 18/06/2014 16:28

Nah. It feels like 'rating' posts to me which doesn't sit well with me.
