Some of the responses to posts are hilarious and I just want to show that person that I agree!

Come on mumsnet team it's a no brainer! Smile

Add the word 'agree' if you'd like to see that! (See if there was a like button it would be soooo much easier...)

Exactly - what's the point of getting tech to do all that work for something that the majority don't want - like really, really don't want.

Oh. I have never been in such a minority on a thread.

Just going to add another

YES

If we have to try something out, I'd prefer WandaDoff's 'bullshit' button - that is so much more in the spirit of MN! Grin

OK:

'Like' button
'I concur' button
'FOTFB' button
'Cunt' button
'Bullshit' button

Anything else?

In order of preference:

FOTFB/ODFOD
Cunt
Bullshit or Bollocks - so we can't be accused of favouritism re Cunt

And I'd like to suggest a Yawn button if it hasn't already been suggested.

What I would really like is an edit for spelling button.

The reason I think it is a bad idea is because I suspect the people who 'liked' the most would be the ones who

A) want to support a position without actually having to post something that might receive a response/retort/fuck off/are you fucking kidding me

B) can't be arsed to chat on a chat forum.

Regarding A)
At the moment, if some utters twat posts 'I think fat people are slobs' they have to deal with the replies. People may be upset by that one poster but we can all argue and put into perspective one or two cunts on the Internet,
How much more upsetting if, before that post is deleted, it gets 70 likes from random dickheads smelling blood?

Regarding B)

Why are we worried about these people. It's a chat room.

Oh yes would be massively up for a yawn button. Although a yawn would make a great emoticon. It would need some eyes closed etc to give it definition from the shock face though.

Lovely pic Spurious but it's a bit cute. The yawn I was thinking of looks more like the kind of PA yawn my 13 yr old might produce during a bout of my nagging very good advice.

In fact - the threat of me submitting a pic of his 'yawn' face to be used as a button on MN might stop the bugger doing it! Result!

The whole shutting down debate and being used by nasty arses is EXACTLY why I support YABU/YANBU buttons on AIBU.

Keep 'em all in one place.
