Slow site-loading times

Hello

We just wanted to say - many apologies for the slow page-loading times and/or connection problems that lots of you have been experiencing over the last few days.

We've had a look at server performance at our end and there have definitely been some periods when it's been very slow to respond.

We're on it and trying to work out a fix. Wine and/or Brew and/or Cake in the meantime - please bear with us.

Long threads won't scroll properly, ones with pictures just about impossible to use.

I can't scroll still with any remotely acceptable speed. No difference at all on ipad app.

Sorry MN towers but something is clearly still amiss. :(

OK - very sorry to hear the iPad scrolling issue is ongoing. We will flag this up tomorrow and get someone to take a look.

Just so we know - iPad, Safari, desktop/mobile site? Or app? Or some other combo?

Sorry, mine is still awful too. iPhone 4S on safari. Pages seem to load ok, and normal scroll time if I go straight to the bottom of the page, but if I want to stop and read anything it is horrific!

Mine's a bit better than earlier in the week but still jerky and slow. It's (whispers) putting me off mn at the moment...
