Slow site-loading times

Hello

We just wanted to say - many apologies for the slow page-loading times and/or connection problems that lots of you have been experiencing over the last few days.

We've had a look at server performance at our end and there have definitely been some periods when it's been very slow to respond.

We're on it and trying to work out a fix. Wine and/or Brew and/or Cake in the meantime - please bear with us.

I sometimes think it's ok , then a couple of minutes later it's gone wrong again, I wish they would hurry up and sort it out, it's spoiling Mn time !

Same as all the above here too, been slow for ages.

It ruins my MN experience. Sad

I have taken to mostly lurking and reading threads via my phone as it's too painful to use the laptop.

I also thought it was something I had done or my laptop, and was cursing my poor ol' laptop like crazy last week.

Poor ol' laptop, I luffs you really.

Going by MNHQ previous message, we probably have to put up with it at least until tomorrow when they have a full staff on again, but it's been going on for days now and it's bloody annoying.

Please . I'm getting cross now. The Android app is still not working.
Now I know it's the weekend, and a bank holiday at that, but surely, if you're a website, and website type stuff is your bread and butter, and the website type stuff stops websiting, then you're going to maybe call in your staff at the weekend until you're back being a website again? Hmm
It's been FIVE days now!

I must admit to having seen lots of threads about it, and other problems, not being able to post etc...

I haven't been here as frequently as I used to be lately, but I have noticed a huge difference in performance of the site.

I'm not going to whinge too much, because lovely HQ did give us tennis fans our Tennis, which with everything else going on, I was surprised at. Clearly easier to put balls in place than it is sort out more serious issues !

Tech are usually pretty hot stuff at rectifying problems, though, so I am slightly surprised the problems have gone on as long as they have.

Well it's a bank holiday weekend. Let's face it, I adore MN but he have formed for buggering off at times like this and leaving the site to look after itself!
