Yes, me too. It's fine until something at the top of the pages finishes loading and then it's all slow and jerky.
At least that's how it seems Grin

RowanMumsnet · 22/05/2014 11:44

Thanks mummylin and apologies. We've just taken a look at our server performance and there do seem to be a couple of go-slow periods over the last 24 hours - we're trying to get to the bottom of it now.

Jux · 22/05/2014 17:25

It was really bad just now (helpful!) but is slightly better now. Would whatever you're looking at account for frequent crashing too?

Also iPad/Safari.

BloominNora · 22/05/2014 19:50

I've been using Android tablet and phone and laptop using Chrome and am having the same problems.

Kleptronic · 22/05/2014 19:57

It's been dire on the phone app too, taking ages to load and then sometimes not bothering, just blank, with a 'cannot connect' message.

TeenyfTroon · 22/05/2014 20:13

Me too, on mobile site. (iPhone/Safari)
Glad to find others with similar problems - I always think it's my fault!

NotQuiteSoOnEdge · 22/05/2014 23:47

I'm having terrible trouble on iPad/Safari. Nothing will scroll once the thread has loaded. Am giving up in frustration. Do please fix it!

Birnamwood · 23/05/2014 09:07

I'm having issues too - ipad/safari. It's not intermittent, it's all the time! Slow to scroll, no probs loading but once it has it's very jerky and doesn't scroll properly, no matter the length of the thread. Almost like there's a ghost 'bar' thingy trying to catch up iyswim. Also a long delay in bookmarking.

Tis v frustrating

OwlCapone · 23/05/2014 09:10

I'm on ipad/safari and I've not had any scrolling issues. There were times over the last few days where a page hasn't loaded but, once it does, all is fine.

sunbathe · 23/05/2014 09:12

I've found it slow, particularly when loading active convos from a thread.

Birnamwood · 23/05/2014 09:52

For me it's particularly bad when reading threads in classics and aibu, especially after bookmarking a post

Don't know if that helps? :)

sunbathe · 23/05/2014 09:55

Ah! I always bookmark before returning to active convos.

mummylin2495 · 28/05/2014 15:09

I reported this last thurs and still no more word from MNHQ is it unrepairable ?

Hello

Sorry about this. The problem is that our slow server issues are still ongoing (we're putting in what we hope will be a fix later on today).

Until that's sorted, it's difficult for us to tell what's just a question of slow server loading (which may well affect scrolling) and what may be an entirely separate problem with Safari.

Once we've got the server problems sorted - which hopefully will be the case by the end of today - we'll come back to you and see whether this is still happening.

mummylin2495 · 28/05/2014 15:27

Thankyou Rowan

Right then - the server issues are sorted (we think) and it looks like this is still happening. We will get someone to take a look ASAP.

Can you all confirm whether you're using iPad/iPhone, Safari and mobile site? If it's some other combo please let us know.

teaandthorazine · 30/05/2014 09:12

Scrolling still bad for me - using safari on iPad.

mummylin2495 · 30/05/2014 09:52

Using iPad safari

OK - we think this is fixed now (thanks to superwhizz ShamTech) - can you let us know if there's an improvement?

Jux · 30/05/2014 11:55

It does seem OK now Thanks thank you, and thanks to superwhizz ShamTech (maybe she'll be allowed to spend a few minutes in daylight as a reward?) Grin

mummylin2495 · 30/05/2014 13:30

Seems to be fine at the moment, thanks.
