I'm pissed off now, but I know I will be incandescent in the morning when there is a post from MNHQ justifying it all as a reasonable decision and basically telling us to shut up and put up.

The disdain from MNHQ recently has been ratcheting up. Biting the hand that feeds...

The only inflammatory thread I have seen tonight is the one from JulieMN telling people she is going to delete them.

Val- most people are using the mobile site on their laptops.

Blame the idiots that cluttered up the site with twattish "joke" threads, not MNHQ

I won't do it, but I feel like going down all the threads in active conversations& posting

It feels very discriminatory that some people (by luck, knowledge or gossip) can post and some people can't

I don't blame anyone for reporting any of the daft threads ( didn't read any so don't know how far people went.)
I don't blame HQ for posting to warn everyone to calm the hell down or deletion/suspensions would be coming

BUT blocking EVERYONE is insane. A really really bad decision.

(Aside from that, wtf is going on? A lock down on having fun? Okay, I didn't find the threads particularly hilarious, but that is by the by).

Most of the jokey threads were funny, imo.

We've certainly seen worse over the years.

Why have a lockdown that only affects the mobile site? It makes NO SENSE AT ALL!

I've just got home and tuned in. AIBU has had me in hysterics. WTF would anyone be offended? It's just daft stuff!

I think what they have done is unfair & dishonest; they could have at least announced it or put a sticky or sent an email

Thousands of people think that mumsnet or their computer is broken or they have a virus or they have been banned/suspended
