In what circumstances would this happen MNHQ?

A poster's entire history being deleted 'at poster's request'.

I realise it has happened when there have been serious issues regarding someone's personal privacy, being outed or somehow being made to feel vulnerable/threatened in RL as a result of what they posted on MN, but why else?

I thought your policy was not to delete posts (providing they fell were within the TALK guidelines) unless they seriously compromised someone's privacy or safety, or there was potentially a legal issue.

Porto do you mean just stalking and harassment on this board or were they actually managing to identify/contact them in RL? Because that is very worrying.

Yes of course. I am normally Bear but changed for Honeydragon's needy Dragon thread and have failed to change back. Who else would I be I am Exit. Although I can't have be as someone else claimed that.

Mnhq offered to retrospectively name change some of my posts and they did delete a thread that outed me and caused issues for my dp at work.

O didn't bother with the retrospective na,e cha he in the end as my 'stalker' person was harmless and was banned from mnet anyway.

I have spotted a well known poster who seems to have had posts removed recently.

Here I am. Back to normal.

Not so much RL, but women posting here, on Twitter, who have blogs etc were subjected to horrendous abuse. From fellow MNetters to boot not just MRA types.

DebrisSlide · 05/10/2013 23:05

F 4 J were using (out of context) quotes from FWR peeps on "promotional" posters. MNHQ removed their posts at the posters request, although I'm sure the brand image wasn't far from their minds.

And, sadly, if there is a lot of linkage between social media accounts/usernames, then you can be a target, sadly.

DebrisSlide · 05/10/2013 23:06

Lots of Sad, clearly.

Stop confusing me, people!
