Having rofled our way through your Bradley-Wiggins-inspired poetry thread, we thought we'd start the Official Mumsnet Olympics Haiku Thread.

Please do come and post your best haikus about the Games, as and when inspiration strikes.

We may well have a prize or two for the best offerings....

It's near diving time
I like the sport, not speedos
Or budgie smugglers

Can HQ compete?
Submit for random testing

Horses jump through the diamond
Then over the moon

We're told Beach Volley-
ball is all about the skill,
