Ok, that's enough now MNHQ

Stop it with the mad deleting.

anyway, remember you've got to get it all together before the teen trolls wade in for half term

c'mon, let's have a bit of solidarity here

FrankWippery · 30/05/2012 16:57

Now you have a very good point there Lemarchand. Grin

AllYoursBabooshka · 30/05/2012 17:00

Isn't that how it used to be Abs?

What happened?! :(

I think MMeLindor is right - any goading is just going to have to be ignored, name calling is going to have them rubbing their hands in glee and hitting report.

It is hard though. It is like when they told me to ignore Naomi Yates at school and I cracked after months of snidiness and threw a tennis ball at her face.

It's not really like that, but sorta.

Fuzzywood · 30/05/2012 17:00

I actually had to go and do some work for the last half an hour and have been giving this some more thought. I'm not a particularly prolific poster but have been on here a while. I started off on a conception thread then moved to ante and now post natal. While doing that I also mainly lurked in other areas of the site and generally had a good laugh reading the straight talking, helpful, truly supportive and caring and frankly hilarious posts on here. Since then I've waded in to more areas on the site. I enjoy it as probably the one place in life I can say whatever the flippin eck I like and have people pass me a grip when required.
I probably don't feature on HQ's or any regulars radar but have never felt to be unwelcome by any of the more prolific posters here.
I'm a grown up, I would hope everyone else here is as well and if you don't like the ethos/ feeling/ attitude of this site then please do feel free to go somewhere else and stop spoiling it for the people who do.

I think HQ need to man up a bit and perhaps suggest to the serial complainers that perhaps this isn't the forum for them.

Please stop this HQ, you're starting to ruin it for me and it's making me Sad and Angry

Francagoestohollywood · 30/05/2012 17:03

Totally agree with SpringHeeledJack

and Abs.

AbsofAwesomeness · 30/05/2012 17:03

I'm on twitter hardly ever join me GOML, join me ...

But yes, what MmeLindor said. She's very wise and makes sense

Fuzzywood · 30/05/2012 17:05

Perhaps overuse of the work perhaps but you get my drift Grin

BIWItheBold · 30/05/2012 17:05

Mme - you are the voice of reason, natch - but did you actually read the BoF/Stratters thread?

MmeLindor. · 30/05/2012 17:06

I am always right Getorf at least that is what I like to think

Half-hearted attempt to derail the thread by posting pics of real proper cunting bunting.

fuckarama · 30/05/2012 17:06

Just marking my place.

MmeLindor. · 30/05/2012 17:07

I read the BOF thread last night, BIWI, or this morning. It wasn't too bad at that point

get0rfm0iland · 30/05/2012 17:08

I cannae remember my twitter log in

Pagwatch · 30/05/2012 17:08

The 'regulars' stuff is not the point.

The point is that anyone can go on a thread, behave like an arse, get called an arse and the thread will be deleted because 'it became a bit of a bunfight'

Mn should occasionally say 'if you post insensitively and provocatively on a thread you will be called a twat because it is twattish behaviour'.

CakeistheAnswer · 30/05/2012 17:08

If this was a spat between DCs, I'd leave them to get on with it. They may engage in a modicum of namecalling; there may even be the odd push and shove, but by tomorrow it would all be forgotten and they'd be off down the park with their footballs.

Please HQ, don't interfere. I like the cunting. If I didn't, I wouldn't have been here for so long.

Sad
MmeLindor. · 30/05/2012 17:10

Hmm, yes. That is a good point, Pag

I suspect though, that MN get a report, look at the post and delete it based on that report.

Not sure if they spend a lot of time scrolling back to see if the 'you are an arse' comment was justified.

ScrambledSmegs · 30/05/2012 17:11

'Likes' Pag's post.

Fuzzywood · 30/05/2012 17:11

Pag you put it much better than I did Grin
Please HQ start handing out a few grips rather than over use of the delete button.

champagnesuperdupernova · 30/05/2012 17:12

GOML did you know that stamp ripping is probably treason?!
Shock

AbsofAwesomeness · 30/05/2012 17:14

actually, I've just been on twitter. Please fix MN, I can't bear it there. It's so DULL. I follow cod and when she's on MN she's amusing but on tiwtter she's dull. Eve Caitlin Moran is dull.

Pagwatch · 30/05/2012 17:17

I think you are probably right MmeLindor. But mnhq keep explaining that the thread most recently deleted to a while to go because they had gone through it.
IMHO it fitted my 'you were being a bit of an arse' scenario.

Btw my 'explaining' auto corrected to expelling which fits nicely with the whole Mallory Towers theme. Grin

bibbitybobbitybunny · 30/05/2012 17:17

Please have a look at this old thread and tell me that deletions policy hasn't changed at hq.

RubberDuck · 30/05/2012 17:19

Ah, I miss Twiglett - did she name change or bugger off years ago? :(

Hullygully · 30/05/2012 17:20

Snort at Bibs actually posting on it..

Yes, I miss Twiglett too, she knew how to keep the site together and encouraged the spirit of community and love.
