i HAVE seen threads from newish posters where they have been pounced on by groups of friends on MN and basically had the piss ripped out of them. it's very uncomfortable and unpleasant to watch. and it's nearly always excused by "oh that's just the way X is, you'll learn"

people shouldn't have to learn. everyone deserves a bit of basic courtesy.

Justine, if you have a minute it would be great if you could comment on my posts above. I would love to know why my post was deleted, and why a post I reported (long time ago) that made me feel attacked (upset/angry) was allowed to stand if the rules have my changed.

Has the increase level of enforcements been influenced by advertisers Justine? I have a theory that MN is trying to become a less argumentative place in order to attract a wider blander range of users - a wider market segment than the original target market iyswim - thus increasing advertising revenues.

Am I allowed to draw the conclusion that in order to maximise it's advertising potential the site must become ever more like it's local regional equivalent with or without the huns

I have also been taken in by trolls. I would hate to report somebody for being a troll who really needs help.
I rarely report things, I report posts I deem offensive or threads for the same reason. I never go troll hunting. I do sometimes think is that right after reading a post but never question the op.

Did I mention I was DELETED for FUCK ALL!?

One time in the middle of a thread I posted on another person launched a incredibly vile post aimed at my DDs .

It was so left of center and repungent another poster PMed me to see if I was ok.

I was, because the person who wrote it obviously didn't have 2 brain cells to rub together and I can turn off my computer.

For these reasons I didn't report it, plus it showed everyone else what a stupid fucker the poster was.

I have a couple of pairs of fingerless gloves, if needed, for the strike.
