WHY is calling someone who holds racist views a racist, however obliquely, a personal attack? They probably are a racist, they probably accept that - how then is it insulting to call them one? And if they don't know that they're being racist, then it's a good wake up call for them if they don't want to be seen as one, therefore it's "educational" and should be left to stand.
