Press Officer Position at MNHQ.

Mumsnet is looking for a bright, organized and experienced press officer to come and work with our busy Communications team.

If you are (or you know) an experienced press officer, with a love of biscuits and all things newsy we'd love to hear from you.

The role will include responding to press enquiries, drafting press materials, planning media activity and occasionally dragging a comb through your hair and acting as a Mumsnet spokesperson.

The role is office-based, 3/4 days a week, salary £32 -36k pro-rata, dependent on experience.

Where within MNHQ is the Press Officer Position then? Is it in a shed like tech? Or do they have a posh lectern at the front, a la CJ Cregg?

There would, of course, have to be bi-monthly meetings, perhaps hosted by each region in turn.

Re: advertising income, there are lots of little mother and baby shops and clothing shops in this area that would love to advertise on a site like this, especially if it was a local affair as well as a hooge website like MN currently is.

I would definitely have applied except I'm not sure I could get a comb through my hair.
