DBF if you are watching this thread - big support to you (I have been away from the laptop for a week, so came back to a huge shocker today)!! I have always admired your passion and love for dogs, we should have more people like you, not less. I hope mnhq will reconsider the ban.

NoOnesGoingToEatYourEyes · 10/11/2011 18:01

But she doesn't want to be unbanned HedgeHop.

BeyondTheLimitsOfAcceptability · 10/11/2011 18:01

Hully called Helen a cunt and told her to fuck off to the VotD forum Wink

Hullygully · 10/11/2011 18:02

I had typed something perfectly innocent

Helen was avin a larf

LadyBeagleEyes · 10/11/2011 18:04

Actually the very worse insults and personal attacks I've seen on here always include a Smile after every nasty, passive aggressive post.
DBF should have tried that, she'd probably still be here.

HelenMumsnet · 10/11/2011 18:04

@mjinprechristmasfrenzy

GalaxyWeaver Thu 10-Nov-11 17:44:09 chipping... i report and flag it up the same way i would on any forum. Just because its not aimed at me doesn't make it ok.

But the problem with this Galaxy is then the person you are having a blazing row debating with, thinks you have reported them, when in fact you considering reporting posts to be generally beneath you, and its extremely frustrating when you want their views to stand to be seen by everyone.

One point that's worth making here: when a post is reported to us, we do aim always to look at it in context on the thread - and to check the rest of thread for other posts that might break our Guidelines.

So, if Poster A posts, "Fuck off, Poster B" and then Poster B posts, "Fuck off, Poster B" but only Poster B reports Poster A's post, we will delete both PAs (and any others we find).

It may also interest you to know that many, many reports come in from people who aren't involved in the PAs - they're just reading the thread or posting but not getting into the row.

You should never assume that it must be the person you attacked who reported you.

madwomanintheattic · 10/11/2011 18:05

oooo. could we do a top ten? every week?

most posts?
most deletions?

that'd sort out who was queen of freaking mn...

what would an 'appropriate and not excessive' number of posts per week be? if someone would give me a job it'd cut right down my mning. i suppose i have to actually apply for some though...

i have two dogs.

and i live in a forest.

sorta.

it's a wildlife corridor. but there are trees.

no frogs though.

although 'frog' was what dd1 used as her hockey name.

still don't know why.

Nope, a PA is still a PA, even with a Smile
