It's rather spectacular! .

I'll load up a few pics of the inside in a mo, as I know a few people want to have a nose.

It's from this company who make tonnes of amazing bespoke playhouses .

A special thanks to prufrock, who made us aware of this company.

Flame...."You also wouldn't know about the wealth to meet her (does that make sense??) - I don't feel like the poor relation around her." Does that mean you think she looks like a total scuffbag???!!

Flamesparrow · 21/05/2007 17:22

Far be it from me to judge

babysbreath · 05/04/2011 15:35

Just came across this thread, although from 2007! CSWS, do all your children still enjoy playing with house. It is sooooooo wonderful, I'm very jealous, never mind the children!!!!

ChocolateCrumbs · 18/04/2011 12:13

That is absolutely amazing!! What a lucky daughter you have!!

5inthebed · 18/04/2011 12:32

Eek! Youmay have paid under £5k in 2007, but it hasn't half shot up in price since then here Shock

Mamazonhereggsclucking · 18/04/2011 12:40

my dd makes do with the shed.

poor deprived child that she is

5inthebed · 18/04/2011 14:47

Grin mamazon

ChippingInLovesEasterEggs · 18/04/2011 14:58

Blimey.

Yes it would be interesting to see if the OP felt they got much use out of it... I'm going to PM her with a link to the thread :)

CantSleepWontSleep · 18/04/2011 21:33

Thanks for the message chipping. Yes I'm still around.

Am pleased to report that the playhouse does get a lot of use, and now by my 3 children rather than just dd. Well, the 9 month old doesn't get a lot of use from it yet, but am sure he will soon enough Grin. My entire back garden has been taken over by kids toys, but they spend a lot of time out there in the summer (and other seasons, but esp in summer obv).

We were aware of the higher price now 5inthebed, because we changed insurers recently and dh had to look it up. We were a bit Shock ourselves (although obv those prices include VAT which is now of course at a higher rate), but it just confirms really that we were right to buy it when we did. If we'd waited til now we wouldn't have been able to readily afford it, down to both the increased price and personal circumstances.

Hope you've had the decorators in since it first arrived CSWS Wink

It's a fantastic thing to be able to give your kids, great to hear that it's still getting plenty of use.

How's the kettle faring? Wink

ChippingInLovesEasterEggs · 18/04/2011 21:50

Hi CantSleep :) Love your photos! Any chance of some playhouse interior photos? I'm intrigued!! I can't believe how much it's gone up since you bought yours - I thought it was £££ when you bought it - now it's Shock!

trixymalixy · 18/04/2011 21:56

Wow, that is amazing. I would love that for my kids, but our garden although big is on a slope and can't afford it! .

I'm trying to persuade DH to build the kids a treehouse with a bridge to the higher part of the garden, but he's not having any of it.

Shock at the price inflation!!!!!

CantSleepWontSleep · 18/04/2011 22:10

Iwish - the kettle sadly died a horrible and premature death! We bought one recommended by Which? afterwards, which is faring much better.

I've added 3 interior pics to my profile for a bit for the nosey.

Gorgeous though! And no one can deny vfm I'm sure, especially based on current prices!

IwishIwasmoreorganised · 19/04/2011 21:00

Lol at the kettle Grin

Are the playhouse walls really not painted/papered? Shock

ChippingInLovesEasterEggs · 19/04/2011 23:35

Nosey? Nosey? - I prefer to think of it as interested in my fellow human beings and their fun toys

FreddoBaggyMac · 20/04/2011 09:35

Wow, you could rent it out for people to go there on holiday if you need a bit of spare cash... I'll book in now Smile
