Looking forward to continuing the journey with all of you!!

@EweCee this is a pretty stressful process and hopefully this is an outlet and a way to go on this journey together ("quite a journey" indeed).

Beyond which schools our kids are at, which schools we have applied for / favour or how we are approaching things, we are trying our best in a pretty opaque and uncertain environment - like you, I am finding lots of comfort in this group (of people that I have not met but that are not any longer strangers)

well done to your daughter. She has done really well and should be proud of herself. My son feels the same as her. He is exhausted with the process and just wants it to be over. We are nearly there and just need to dig deep to get through the next couple of weeks.

Thanks @BlueTick - it’s actually for an ‘all rounder’ scholarship; the academic ones I imagine are very hard to come by!

And @Asham I hope your son can find it in himself to push through just a little longer. I’m doing lots of tlc and praise here and talking about the end being near, just to push a little longer. I feel this whole process asks an awful lot of them, and they are only 10yo still, or just 11yo; it’s far more gruelling than anything I went through at their age so in my book they are already streaks ahead of me!

Yes two people I know got late emails last night from Claremont, both applying for scholarships. Do we know how many they are interviewing as I know quite a few who have interviews? Well done to those who have got one!

Lolakath19 · 06/01/2023 08:18

Good luck to everyone sitting exam or waiting for results today!

SamPoodle123 · 06/01/2023 09:00

Good morning everyone. Today is the day for Putney! And perhaps Godolphin. I am feeling so nervous. Anyone have an idea what time emails might be sent? My guess is after school.

G&L after 14:00

Dallasdays · 06/01/2023 10:34

Good luck today everyone! We are just back from KGS interview. Was friendly and very well-run.

NellyCortado · 06/01/2023 11:25

@Dallasdays Hope all went well at KGS. Good to hear it was friendly etc. DS has his interview this afternoon.
Good luck to all those with interviews and exams today - and everyone waiting for news also!

QuiteAJourney · 06/01/2023 11:32

@Dallasdays thanks for the reassuring post and hope it went well.
DD is there this pm - a bit nervous so knowing that it is relaxed and friendly helps.

Thanks @QuiteAJourney. It seemed to go well. My DS is shy but he had a lovely lady interviewing him and it seemed like she put him at his ease and it sounds like they had a good chat. He enjoyed it more than any other interview he has done. So much better in person than online - I think schools that rely on online interviews at a bit 'lazy' and not giving children opportunities to come and experience the school in person. Really hope he gets an offer as it's our favourite by far - stressful wait ahead! Hope goes well for your DD later - I am sure it will!

QuiteAJourney · 06/01/2023 11:39

@Dallasdays thanks for the kind message. We really like it too so hoping that it goes well ... as you say, the wait is going to be so long!

Well done to your son @Dallasdays and good luck to those with interviews. My son has one this afternoon too. He is really hoping it goes well as it's his favourite school 🤞

Dallasdays · 06/01/2023 12:18

Best of luck @secondaryquandries

FriendlyMom · 06/01/2023 12:21

FriendlyMom · 06/01/2023 12:28

Same here! Really excited!

GLfam · 06/01/2023 12:29

The G&L invites are coming in fast 'n thick, congrats to everyone!!!

LondonMum20222 · 06/01/2023 12:32

@FriendlyMom @Lolakath19 Congrats, both! Great news (after what I can see what a nailbiting wait!)

Lolakath19 · 06/01/2023 12:35

@FriendlyMom what time are you?
is there a correlation between perd and timing?
do we know how much are invited back?

QuiteAJourney · 06/01/2023 12:37

@secondaryquandries good luck for KGS.
@Lolakath19 @FriendlyMom Many congrats - great news after all the waiting!

Godolphin email is out! My dd made it to interview round. I am so pleased and what a relief. I was so worried bc we did not have much time to prepare. Now, I just hope she gets in. Glad we got positive news before the putney email comes out, bc now I am less worried for the one she said she bombed the test. Phew.

I hope everyone else gets positive news as well. Good luck!

Lolakath19 · 06/01/2023 12:39

@SamPoodle123 what time are you?
