HSM, good to see someone worrying about the kind of random thing I worry aboutGrin

2 more sleeps here!

DD is making the most of her last few days and has had a packed schedule, finishing with taking her DBro out for dinner on Friday night Smile

tobee · 14/09/2017 16:32

Oh Bath Spa,HSMM! Ds's oldest best friend is going there! It looks really attractive.

user327854831 · 14/09/2017 16:54

an early start here as well when we go, we're expecting a lot of traffic.

We're both nervous now; we've been tipped over the edge by some badly infected insect bites and so an appointment is to be booked at the new GP for Monday and have medicine from the pharmacist to stop the infection getting into the blood stream.

HSMMaCM · 14/09/2017 17:32

Tobee it's a gorgeous campus. I want to go.

User - that sounds like just what you need at the moment !

ono40 · 14/09/2017 22:15

DS is home and has had a marathon shop for clothes, in fact the assistant told him she'd never come across anyone spend so much time in a changing room. He is a bit stroppy so I am biting my tongue as I think this is due to nerves and tiredness after travelling for a month. I am not going to miss him nicking my phone charger or hairbrush, nor will I miss tripping over his shoes in the hallway.

Horsemad · 14/09/2017 22:17

DS nicks my hairdryer ono - luckily for him I have a nice little spare he can take with him!

HSMMaCM · 15/09/2017 05:52

DD is taking my hair dryer to uni. To be fair, she does use it more than me, so I'm not saying anything.

ErrolTheDragon · 15/09/2017 08:06

Mine asked for a hairdryer last xmas in anticipation of going, and not having time for her curls to dry naturally. its still in its box and I bet she forgets to take it.

LineysRunner · 15/09/2017 08:19

Yesterday I mostly did laundry.

The laundry that apparently didn't exist the hundred times I asked about it previously.

I certainly won't miss that.

LittleHo · 15/09/2017 10:33

Hairdryer and straighteners have vanished in this household too.

Auntpetunia2015 · 15/09/2017 20:16

Last major shop here tonight. And apparently tomorrow all ds needs to do is throw some clothes in the bag! Erm, good job mums sorted most other stuff. Off Sunday morning here. So tomorrow will be a packing and sorting day for last bits. Think it's just hit him as I mentioned something for Monday night and he said "yeah no worries i can...oh god I'm not here am I? " I'm sure his bottom lip quivered a bit , but didn't say anything. Gulp my boy is leaving home ...

LineysRunner · 15/09/2017 21:21

Bit of a wobble here today, but packing done. His dad (ExH) driving him up tomorrow morning. It's all a bit unreal.

I will actually be on my own. And I don't think I'm going to like it.

ErrolTheDragon · 15/09/2017 21:45

Have you got plans for what to do with yourself, Liney?

LineysRunner · 15/09/2017 22:01

Errol, I'm meant to be having a hysterectomy in the next few months. Which sounds like a sketch from the much-missed Victoria Wood.

I promised myself that when the kids finally left home I'd have my teeth sorted and my dodgy uterus out. Either that or a toyboy in Magaluf who's not particularly fussy

Horsemad · 15/09/2017 22:18

Grin Victoria Wood just always nailed it!

I am actually looking forward to DS going (sssh, don't tell him!) so I can have a rest - I actually do mean that bit seriously. I am knackered and also have an op next month, so want to prepare myself for that.

user327854831 · 15/09/2017 22:22

Good luck Horse and Lineys.

LineysRunner · 15/09/2017 22:25

Best to you too, user. I've got one of those Disney-Uni-Dads in the midst also.

Horsemad · 15/09/2017 22:45

Thank you user.

Oldie2017 · 15/09/2017 22:49

It is 10.45pm and one of mine is still waiting for an internet delivery out for delivery "today". He's out the external lights in theg arden and up the house to help the courier. Talk about last minute and he's not going to open his brand new apple lap top what came yesterday until he arrives at university. Anyway we have just about packed. He seems to have spent a good bit of time today when I was driving his twin, doing 5 loads of washing of his clothes (he doesn't let me near some of them - one of the huge advantages of my reputation for poor washing skills.......) so we have the heating on for those on radiators and the drier on and the car packed except the lap top. He's more into clothes than his twin so has 2 suitcases, not one but still a lot of boxes too but not musical instruments like his twin had today.

I am looking forward to the end of next week. My oldr son leaves home on Monday ( he has hired a van to move into his own house which he's been letting out since last December - he is seeing his tenants tomorrow ehn they leave) and he and I will move all hils stuff on Monday.

I wonder which of the 3 will be first to come home for a weekend? Thankfully the one on a field trip who had put a bottle of vodka in his bag specifically for that trip decided not to take it on the trip.

bebumba · 16/09/2017 05:47

Well, we are just finishing breakfast
and then will be setting off for Sheffield.
Good luck in the coming weeks Horsemad and Liney.

Horsemad · 16/09/2017 06:12

Thanks bebumba, early start for you Shock

Hope all goes well at Sheffield Smile

LineysRunner · 16/09/2017 06:29

Morning, bebumba and Horsemad.

Woke up wondering what do I have to do, what have I forgotten?

ExH is going to have a right moan on about the amount of stuff that has to go in his car. There's never a 'well done for organising all that'. Just griping. You can always count on him to take the shine off any situation.

When I was having a long and tough labour with DD in the maternity hospital, he managed to come out with, 'we don't want to be here all day'.

Horsemad · 16/09/2017 06:40

Lindy - I am so glad your ex is EX!!! Angry

Ignore him whatever he says; don't let him spoil today for you.

Horsemad · 16/09/2017 06:42

Tsk. Liney, obviously Smile Damn autocorrect!

LineysRunner · 16/09/2017 06:43

I will be Fixed Grin Woman!
