I am disappointed that there has not been a thread this year but so am stopping 'lurking'. Not want to give any specifics as maybe there is an extra exam day although this doesnt seem to be published anywhere but did anyone on Saturday ask how many Year 7 possible boys there were, as it is hard to tell who is for which year? It is pointless to ask 1 suppose as the boys are so differnet and with multiple choice method it's impossibel for boys to to know for certian anyway but the 'verdict' was Maths and English OK but the VR hard. I think January will seem a very long month.

Hello All, almost there. Last year I was brave enough to ring Katherine sweet in admissions to fined out when the all the letters were going to be posted out. It was the Friday.....so many of you will know by Saturday or Monday during half term. My son was away skiing when his letter arrived so he didn't know until Saturday evening. If you are 11+ I am pretty positive your in,
unless they have changed the system. All you 2nd interviews, 12+, 13+ good luck too. If your boys get in they will love it as my son does. Big pat on the back for all you parents, its a nail biting experience trying to get into these kinds of schools.

RGS is part of the Trinity Group schools agreement who all post on the same day. This year they post on Thursday 11th February. They did similar last year.

I also remember Dr Cox saying that the letters would be arriving on 12th or 13th Feb, which ties in with a posting date of 11th, unless they posted them 2nd class yesterday, which would equally give an arrival date of Friday 12th or Saturday 13th.

We got our letter on the Friday of half term which meant our half term was sooooooo enjoyable! Good luck to everyone.

Well, I reckon the letters are in the postal system now.
What we really need is the RGS letter equivalent of the NORAD Santa tracker, so we can watch the letter leave the North Pole (aka RGS) and wing its way towards each of us. The problem being, for those of us in the 13+ and 11+ interview call backs camp, that we don't know whether we're getting a present or a lump of coal!
Anyone up for raiding the Royal Mail depot tonight???????

Must be in the postal system now....feels like the last two weeks have dragged and dragged but now it is so close to coal or present it feels like we are free falling towards it....ignorance is bliss here

I am so sorry I got you all worked up 🙄 I do remember we got our letter on the Friday before half term. Those that have heard nothing you are in, fingers crossed for the call backs and 13+. I have to do it again next year and I don't think it will be any easier! Good luck.

We are going away for the half term, leaving tomorrow at noon. I so hope I get any post before I leave, and if there are good news... it shall be a wonderful start of the half term holidays... Good luck to all of us Star

My mother in law will be on mail-duty, hopeful. She is even more anxious (if that's possible!) than me, so I know she will be checking regularly 😁. I so hope to be the one to get the (hopefully!) good news!

We have the large envelope from RGS, but have promised our son we won't open it until he's home from school! Usually our post arrives past midday, it's early today. out of all days!

Great to hear good news final today. Our postman is on holiday so our post hasn't been arriving until about 2pm so still playing the waiting game and hoping something arrives today rather than tomorrow as otherwise I will still worry it's lost in the post!
