I am disappointed that there has not been a thread this year but so am stopping 'lurking'. Not want to give any specifics as maybe there is an extra exam day although this doesnt seem to be published anywhere but did anyone on Saturday ask how many Year 7 possible boys there were, as it is hard to tell who is for which year? It is pointless to ask 1 suppose as the boys are so differnet and with multiple choice method it's impossibel for boys to to know for certian anyway but the 'verdict' was Maths and English OK but the VR hard. I think January will seem a very long month.

Nothing in the post for us either, only a dental appointment Grin. Did Mr. Cox say the letters were being posted on the 11th?

11th does ring a bell and the details they gave us on the day do say results will be with us by 13th so that does tie in.

Me too hhmum - I'm finding I'm still planning my mornings around the time the post is due! Hoepfully next weekend we'll all be able to crack open the bubbly!!

Well, we're still hopeful, not having received any post from RGS yet. It will be a long wait until next Friday/Saturday but I'm going to try to forget about it for the next few days now as nothing is likely to happen!

Am I the only one still compulsively checking the postbox daily, even though there's absolutely no prospect of news til 12th Feb?!

Even casually asked my DS if the headteacher had caught his eye recently... so keen to just know, now! Blush

No you're not - I am still dreading the post every morning! I still don't understand why they wait until next week when they clearly know who's in already!

Hello All, I completely sympathize with you all as I went through this last year........the only word of encouragement I can give you is if your DS took the 11+ and you still have received nothing in the post you are most probably in!!! Not much longer to wait now, hang in there. Also good luck to all second interviews,13+ and 12+, only one more week to go until you get clarification.

Yes - awful time but if you haven't heard and you're 11+ you're definitely in! Pity those waiting for 13! Letters should be before half term or the Saturday of half term. Then you can chill!!!

I'd love to believe that sassy but can't celebrate until we have that letter! There is still the rejection lost in the post possibility!!

I will be going through this next year. What if your child had a 2nd 11+ interview? Do they hear on the 12th as a well. My friend's boy is in this position now and I'm afraid to ask her if she had heard any news. I know that she is also waiting for an offer from other schools so that she at least has something positive if RGS does not work out.

I have been watching all the messages and only wish DS2 was in a position to say no news is good news. But we are in the second interview band so still in danger of the no letter. I have no idea how many 11+ kids did the second interviews but I do think it is rather cruel to make us wait this long - I imagine they have already decided so think they could have sent out the second interview no letters earlier.

It's a weird system. I believe it's a date agreed with other schools so they all send offers at the same time. Which is fine but given that they've all known who's in for a while you'd think they could put us out of our misery and agree on an earlier date!!

The head was telling parents the letters are out tomorrow. Fingers crossed for you all especially those on the second interviews.

Aaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhh, really????? I am not emotionally ready for this. Definitely the RGS, sassy? I know St John's letters are due to arrive tomorrow. Anyone brave enough to call? I need to know whether to start stalking the postman.
