Exam season starts....

Hurrah. DD passed her driving test. She thought she had blown it at the beginning so totally relaxed for the rest of the test and was told at the end she had passed. Smile

We may be going around the house with pegs on our noses (smell of bleach and you know what) but at least things are cheerful. Smile

Congrats to your DD Littleham
And hope you get the plumbing sorted soon.

JWIM · 09/06/2015 15:12

Congratulations on the driving test pass and hope the flood remnants are soon gone.

muffinmonster · 09/06/2015 16:36

I'm surprised at how few exams some of your DCs seem to have left. So far DS has done 2 x Maths exams but still has 2 x Physics, 2 x Chemistry, 2 x General Studies and a maths Mechanics exam to go - and that's after the 4 AS resits he has already done. Seems like a long way to go here Sad

AtiaoftheJulii · 09/06/2015 16:56

Dd1 did Latin AS before half term, but we're not counting that Wink She started A2's today (classical civ) and has one more classics paper, three maths and 1 English (she had English coursework).

MrsBartlet · 09/06/2015 17:05

Well done to your dd Littleham and hope you sort the plumbing out!

bigbluebus dd only has 4 exams overall - not including general studies which she is not counting and hasn't done any work for anyway. Two of her subjects had coursework hence why she only has 1 exam in those subjects.

Horsemad · 09/06/2015 18:36

Congrats & safe driving to your DD Littleham Smile
You've had an eventful day, hope flood damage is soon rectified.

hellsbells99 · 09/06/2015 19:38

Congratulations to Littleham's DD.
AQA chemistry here tomorrow. DD is a bit more relaxed today and gone to band practice tonight.

welshpixie · 09/06/2015 20:12

Congrats to Littleham's DD, that is just what I did. instructor told me to turn left and I went right, thought I had failed at that point and relaxed, I even had the dreaded 'Jones the fail', I was in Wales then.
DD has gone off on holiday for the next 11 days, I am warning the Isle of Man it might be TT week, but she is on her way Grin

Horsemad · 09/06/2015 21:32

Ha ha, I took my test in Wales and had 'Jones The Fail'

Fairenuff · 09/06/2015 21:45

Congrats to your dd Littleham, one less thing to worry about for now Smile

Dd has her first exam tomorrow - Spanish. I've just got her to check she has her pencil case and candidate number and then I think she's off to watch Phineas and Ferb for some relaxation Confused Grin

NiceCardigan · 09/06/2015 21:49

Well done to your DD Littleham

AtiaoftheJulii · 09/06/2015 21:57

Yay, well done to your dd Littleham and I hope your house smells better tomorrow!

AmazingDisgrace · 09/06/2015 23:56

DD still ploughing through Plato at the kitchen table ahead of Philosophy tomorrow. I don't think she likes Plato much judging by the swearing and deep sighs Grin

Mindgone · 10/06/2015 00:28

Well done you your DD Littleham, a great hurdle to have behind her Smile. Lol at 'Jones the fail'! I passed with 'Taylor the failer' in Sale many years ago! Grin

Mindgone · 10/06/2015 00:29

Thanks everyone. Love the driving stories. Grin

Good luck to all those taking exams this week. DD is in a pleasant lull at the moment but next week is nasty.

Horsemad · 10/06/2015 15:29

Me: Hi DS, how did Chemistry go?
DS: Yeah..... Difficult.

Said everyone found it hard, even the kids who are good at Chemistry. Questions very wordy and really needed another 30mins to give answers that were detailed enough. He did answer everything though, so just gotta move on now Hmm

Decorhate · 10/06/2015 17:13

Horsemad, my dd said it was weird. Very different to past papers. Was hoping after Monday' Biology she would have been luckier
