Same verdict here on history and politics mums life - so glad that day is over! Seems strange that dd is now half way through her exams with only 2 left, while her younger sister, now plodding through the 4th week of GCSEs, still has three to go!

MrsBartlet · 08/06/2015 20:07

Oh gosh mumslife - lucky she had that conversation and found out now! It was OCR history that dd did.

JWIM · 08/06/2015 20:10

Good to read that today's exams seem to have gone well. DD said she was a bit rushed in History but plenty of time for Human Biology this afternoon and then managed to complete her critical thinking so 3 down and 6 to go. She has resisted the post mortems on The Student Room.

Good luck to Littleham's DD for the driving test tomorrow.

Gosh - all these people well on their way through exams!
DS has his first one tomorrow (Maths M2). Can't wait for him to start.

AmazingDisgrace · 08/06/2015 23:29

DD reasonably happy with the Edexcel history but as she did the one that hardly anyone does (Empire and freedom) it is hard to tell even on TSR. She has veered from her initial phone call to me claiming glumly at least it was a C to being more positive with DH. If History is going to be a C then she really needs Philosophy to be an A.

AmazingDisgrace · 08/06/2015 23:35

Was shocked to find she has only 3 more exams, all spread out until the 19th. Both DD and GCSE sitting DS finish on the same day. Tidy!

sassymuffin · 09/06/2015 00:08

DD had Edexcel History and Edexcel Politics today and she was reasonably happy about them. It seems a bit mean that the same exam board scheduled two essay heavy subjects on the same day.
Three more to go!

Horsemad · 09/06/2015 06:51

Lovely that your two finish on the same day Amazing, we have a further week of exams after DS finishes GCSEs. Roll on the 24th June... Grin

mumslife, DS1 is the only pupil sitting that exam on 24th! Luckily it's in the morning so once he's done we are taking him out for lunch before he gets his rabies jab at 2pm!! Grin Grin

AtiaoftheJulii · 09/06/2015 09:06

DD1 starting today. There was still last minute revision going on this morning. I will be so glad when this one is done, the others shouldn't be so bad!

Horsemad · 09/06/2015 09:17

DS1 was revising before school this morning too Atia. He's got S3 today.

Littleham · 09/06/2015 10:00

Major flood in bathroom. Toilet left overflowing by dc and wee pouring through my kitchen ceiling light fittings into buckets.

Just what I need right now. Sad

JWIM · 09/06/2015 10:17

Littleham hope your flood gets sorted and that DD's driving test goes well.

DD still sound asleep after yesterday's 3 exams. She wanted a lie in before starting revision again.

Hope today's exams go well.

Horsemad · 09/06/2015 10:21

OMG Littleham, sounds awful. Sad Hope you get sorted soon, what a nightmare.

hellsbells99 · 09/06/2015 11:23

Oh dear Littleham Sad. Switch your electrics off if you haven't already done so.
