No it was AQA Horsemad

Horsemad · 10/06/2015 18:59

Blimey, that poor girl mumslife. Sad

Horsemad · 10/06/2015 19:00

Sounds like Chenistry's been a bit crap all round then Decorate Sad

Decorhate · 10/06/2015 19:03

Yes just hoping it's reflected in the grade boundaries.

Horsemad · 10/06/2015 19:05

Yep, DS said he hopes everyone found it hard as that will help the grade boundaries.

hellsbells99 · 10/06/2015 19:11

DD found the AQA chemistry very hard too. She was hoping it would be a good paper as she knows next week's chem5 paper will be harder! She says everyone was in the same boat though - so hopefully the grade boundaries will be lower. She said so far the M1 paper, Biol4 and Chem4 have all been different from previous past papers. She thinks her A in chemistry has gone down the pan and she needs an A for her firm choice of uni.

bigbluebus · 10/06/2015 19:13

DS had Chemistry this afternoon too - but OCR Gateway. He said the paper was a completely different style of question to the ones on all the past papers he's done Hmm. He said it was hard but manageable. Lets hope he was right.
OCR Physics in the morning.

Wine tonight for everyone. Sorry to hear that Chemistry was tough.

Horsemad · 10/06/2015 19:54

Aww, your DD's friend has had a tough day mumslife.

AmazingDisgrace · 10/06/2015 19:55

Chemistry sounds tough, hope all the DCs are calming down and not too despondent. Grade boundaries should be lower then.

DD had Philosophy today which she thinks went ok. That's it for her until the two Geography exams next week and then she is done.

Horsemad · 10/06/2015 19:58

Right; who's stolen my DS and replaced him with an imposter???

He's just told me he's 'pretty hyped up about uni, whichever uni I get into'.
This is the boy who stropped and huffed round all the units we visited last year, and left himself tonnes of work to try & achieve his offers. Shock

Is he finally maturing? Confused

AtiaoftheJulii · 10/06/2015 20:06

Weird papers are at least weird for everyone. Not that that's much consolation when you're sitting there doing it Sad

AtiaoftheJulii · 10/06/2015 20:08

Oh Horsemad that must be nice to hear!

MrsBartlet · 10/06/2015 20:37

Oh mumslife - that poor girl! Dd found RS very difficult today. She found all 3 questions difficult. She did Edexcel - is that same as your dd?

Still, she is moving on and getting ready for English tomorrow. How are we going to wait until August for results?!

Horsemad · 10/06/2015 20:48

Atia, I'm stunned. Shock
He's also said he wants to join the University Air Sqn with a view to joining the RAF as a pilot Shock
He was in the ATC a couple of years ago but gave it up when he started 6th form.

Antaresisastar · 10/06/2015 20:49

Haven't been on here for ages so hope you don't mind me joining in again. Have twins doing A levels, so far ds has done S1 and today Spanish, tomorrow is Econ 3, Friday Maths C3, Mon 15th Drama , Tues 16th C4 , Fri 19th Econ 4.
Dd has done RS Philosophy today, Eng Lit tomorrow, Drama Monday and RS Ethics on Wednesday.
I know lots about Philosophy that I had no idea about last week.
It will all be done by the end of next week. I think they will then feel such a massive sense of freedom and hopefully have a memorable summer.
Ds needs A*AA, and dd is having a Gap year and will apply post results.
Good luck to everyone xx

Horsemad · 10/06/2015 20:54

Welcome back Antaresisastar Smile, hope all goes well for your DS and DD.

Antaresisastar · 10/06/2015 20:57

Thank you Horsemad x

Horsemad · 10/06/2015 20:57

I'm just thinking back to last year and open days etc, and us all discussing their firm and insurance choices; it's gone quickly hasn't it?
