Dd finally has her first offer through. Exeter have offered a very sensible AAB and she is thrilled to bits Smile

Phew, relieved that someone wants her Grin

Eastwickwitch · 08/12/2014 18:58

Well done DD Fairenuff, what a great offer.

Horsemad · 08/12/2014 19:01

Woohoo, Well Done Fairenuff's DD! Grin

And a sensible offer too from Exeter Smile

Fairenuff · 08/12/2014 19:05

Wow, they are like buses - a second offer has just come through from Cardiff! ABB so that could be a good insurance choice Smile

Littleham · 08/12/2014 19:21

Brilliant Fairenuff. Smile Bet you are so pleased.

What subject was that for again?

Fairenuff · 08/12/2014 19:24

She's doing MFL's Littleham, French, Spanish and one other, depending on where she goes - Chinese, Russian, German, Japanese - one of those. Wants to do interpreting.

Horsemad · 08/12/2014 19:32

Brilliant Fairenuff!

Fairenuff · 08/12/2014 19:37

Thanks all Smile

AtiaoftheJulii · 08/12/2014 19:44

Well done to Fairenuff's dd Smile dd2 wants to apply for (probably) French and Spanish next year - where else has your dd applied for?

Fairenuff · 08/12/2014 19:59

Southampton is her top choice because of the variety of courses available. They will also allow her to do the Integrated Masters if she reaches the required standard during her first year.

Other choices are Bristol and Warwick.

polkadottyme · 08/12/2014 20:00

Well done fairnuff its great to hear offers comming thick and fast. Mine is still on a one lonely offer. Her enthusiasm and excitement hasn't waned wondered if she feels the same if she gets a rejection. She says she won't be upset if she gets rejected just make her decision for firm easier??? Is my child normal???Confused
Jwim- so jealous of the Nottingham unconditional wish dd got that.

AtiaoftheJulii · 08/12/2014 20:12

Ah, fairenuff that's interesting - someone asked dd2 on Saturday if she was interested in Southampton :) She has started looking a bit, but hasn't looked at Southampton.

Fairenuff · 08/12/2014 20:30

Southampton is rated quite highly here Atia

I don't know how reliable these league tables are but it's something to compare.

circular · 08/12/2014 20:50

Catching up again.
Sorry to hear about your DDs Mumslife and Mrs B. Hopefully the Xmas hols. breaks the vicious circle of these headaches, with a change in routine.
Great that so many offers are still rolling in. Anyone know if it slows down from next week?

DD finally got her UCAS in, but not expecting any offers now this side of Xmas.

A quick reminder re AS retakes.
Thought deadline for entry was Jan, but school since advised they need to be in by tomorrow, otherwise exam boards increase fees.

webwiz · 09/12/2014 18:37

I think your school are telling porky pies circular the deadline is March 2015.

So happy for my Ds -he has an offer for his top choice Durham. All 5 offers are in now Smile

Fairenuff · 09/12/2014 19:02

Fantastic news Waiting and great to have all five Smile

Horsemad · 09/12/2014 19:37

Brilliant waiting, very pleased for him. I loved Durham, hope DS2 puts it down as one of his choices as DS1 didn't like it Sad

AmazingDisgrace · 09/12/2014 19:45

Well done waitingaround's DS! DD got an offer from Newcastle today so that's 4/5 with just one of her potential insurance choices to hear fromSmile

AtiaoftheJulii · 09/12/2014 19:47

Yay for Waiting's ds! What a lovely position to be in :)

circular · 09/12/2014 19:50

webwiz was trying to fnd similar on OCR website, but nothing related to entry dates for single module retakes. Wondering if this works differently to complete AS entry.
School saying it costs much more after this week.
