There would be no need for an insurance if she firmed the unconditional as she would have her university place.

All she has to do is accept the unconditional I think. I believe that the other choices will change and be listed as 'declined or unsuccessful' with a thumbs down instead of a thumbs up. At the top of the page her unconditional offer will stay there with a thumbs up (will probably get a letter confirming place at university).

It is probably best to ring Ucas to check this out, as the helpline is brilliant.

Ds has just had an offer from Leeds, AAA, he is delighted as now has offers from the ones he wanted to firm and insure.

MrsBartlet · 17/11/2014 19:19

That is brilliant! Congrats to your ds.

Antaresisastar · 17/11/2014 19:41

Thanks MrsB

Horsemad · 17/11/2014 19:52

Thanks all. We have just had a conversation and he is now not sure which he prefers, Exeter or Leeds. He's decided he will visit both again at offer days before making a choice, he has plenty of time. It's a nice position to be in!

AtiaoftheJulii · 17/11/2014 21:06

It's a great position, well done to him Smile

Mindgone · 17/11/2014 22:05

Well done from here too! Best to look again at both to decide. DS1 has just started at Leeds, and absolutely loves it! Great for nightlife if that appeals to him

hellsbells99 · 17/11/2014 22:47

Well done Antares DS!

Littleham · 17/11/2014 23:09

Great news Antares. Grin

Excitement here as dd has just got an interview for Cambridge!

Antaresisastar · 18/11/2014 17:07

Brilliant MrsB, when is the interview?

MrsBartlet · 18/11/2014 17:11

10th December, so a little while for her to finish reading Middlemarch first!

Littleham · 18/11/2014 17:19

Apparently Exeter are sending out emails saying that people with AAA offers will now be accepted if they got A*AA due to student feedback (don't know for sure if this is true). Let us know if you get one!

OP posts:
MrsBartlet · 18/11/2014 17:33

Oooh, that's interesting Littleham. I will report back!

MrsBartlet · 18/11/2014 17:38

Good grief! I just went to tell dd that Exeter may be sending out lower offers and she said "Oh was that what that email was about!" She has had the email and hadn't read it properly. This is the girl that wants to go to Cambridge but then common sense has never been a strong point Grin

The email says that she will be accepted with AAA if* she puts Exeter as her firm choice.

Littleham · 18/11/2014 17:38

Might just be a wild rumour on student room of course. Hope not.

OP posts:
Littleham · 18/11/2014 17:40

Not a rumour then.... Do you think they played a recording of my phone call to Exeter at a meeting? Wink
