We seem to have reached the limit on the other one!

2 maths, chemistry, physics and r.e. left here. Next weekend can't come a moment too soon.......and that's just me :-)

sausagedog12 · 07/06/2014 17:37

Chemistry, physics and computer science left from this end. Roll on Thursday 3.00 pm Grin

MorvahRising · 07/06/2014 21:34

We've still got physics x 2, chemistry x 2, biology x 1, res mat x 1, maths x 2 and statistics x 2. Next week is the worst of the lot. It's going to be a long week!

DD is getting really, really, really bored of revision.

She really should have been in the triple science group. She's read the science through a 100x she's done piles of past questions and she's taught her classmates most off it too. There came a point this afternoon where she just threw spectral lines across the room.

Tomorrow she has a maths paper to do and a long walk to go on. She has declared exams or no exams the fields are getting stomped over.

MissScatterbrain · 08/06/2014 08:15

I think we all are bored of revision.

Two. More. Weeks. Of. This

Phaedra11 · 08/06/2014 08:51

Two more weeks for us too, and DS is starting to lose the will to live. He has Maths, Chemistry and Physics papers next week and RE and Further Maths the week after.

He is finding it all very boring and actually said he wished he still had an English Lit paper to do, so he could revise that instead.

nostress · 08/06/2014 10:07

Well DS & DS's GF are both very concerned about Maths. It is their worst subject with Bs and Cs in mocks and past papers. They both want to get a C at least as they dont want to have to ever do it again! Fingers crossed for a fair paper tomorrow. 5 more to go here so I've said to DS he needs to do 5hrs today.... The look on his face was priceless :)

MissScatterbrain · 08/06/2014 10:07

Its all science and maths here too....

Lancelottie · 08/06/2014 10:16

DS has five science and maths exams next week.

He has just gone out to an all-day drama rehearsal Hmm.

Nocomet · 08/06/2014 11:01

And DD has wandered off for a walk.

She needs to get back to drawing and singing, there really is only so much revision you can do for one hour papers.

MorvahRising · 08/06/2014 11:22

DS also very worried about maths and he really needs an A or A*. It's the one subject he panics about although he's perfectly capable. The number of practice papers he's come down in the middle of in a stew saying he can't do it and then goes back and tries again and whizzes through it with no problem . . . . . . I just hope he doesn't have a panic tomorrow.

Am also hugely fed up with the whole thing.

ds is at a football trial for his college course and already shattered from staying up to watch England last night. (wish I had been more insistent that he stuck a video in) Revision this afternoon and this evening is going to be really tough - hope it cools down a bit, hottest day of the year here and the carpet in the conservatory is burning my bare feet.

And DD reappeared plastered in mud and had to go and have a shower.

She went up the bridle path and says she stopped where the thunderstorm had flooded it completely.

Best1sWest · 08/06/2014 16:34

Gave DS the morning off and we all went to see X-Men, Days of Future Past. He has been revising maths all afternoon though and we 're going do do another past paper shortly. Just praying for a C.

MrsMaturin · 08/06/2014 16:45

dd is pretty fed up too. We've maths x 2, chemistry and physics this week and then further maths next week. DH has taken a further maths paper away with him on work trip this afternoon. He's away till Wednesday so plenty of time to do it and he knows he needs to get up to speed. I'm hopeless!

KatyMac · 08/06/2014 16:49

" maths x 2, chemistry and physics this week " for us too! the Modern Grade 5 on Sunday - which is causing more upset tbh

DD has been working through past papers all week for Maths and is averaging a high C. She got a B in her mock but her confidence goes in exams and she gets a bit panicky, but this only seems to happen with Maths, not sure why.

Had to make her take a break and sit in the garden for a while as she was getting worked up about the fact that 12 years of numeracy will be tested in 2 fairly short exams and she is going into these exams with no controlled assessment behind her so all rests on performance on the day. She also is worried that if it all goes wrong and she gets a D, she will have to resit in year 12 (didnt tell her I think this is a good thing, better to save that conversation for another time!).

Fingers crossed for a good paper and that she doesnt get too panicky on the day.

Dd has done three past maths papers today after a lovely breakfast in the garden. Told her that's enough for today. Maths in the morning. Physics Tuesday and bio Thursday. Can't wait until the 19th.

LaurieFairyCake · 08/06/2014 17:25

Just 5 more days of this hell to go

Maths, physics, chemistry, then the second maths paper.

Dd is so bored of revising now, if I look at her she just mouths 'fuck this ' at me Grin and then carries on revising.

She did 3 maths papers yesterday and got A's in all of the which is good as it likely means she has a chance of a B in the exam with the possibility of an A. But hopefully no chance of a C as she can't do a couple of choices if she doesn't get a B.

And right now she just wants to keep her options open.

MorvahRising · 08/06/2014 21:12

I think I'm going to dream tonight about vectors, circle theorems, surds (wtf are they?) and trigonometry. I think all our DCs are amazingly clever to get to grips with it all.

Good luck to everyone tomorrow! I feel like necking a brandy for breakfast!

Dd is far and away much better than I ever was in maths, so she either self marks or they take them in and peer mark.
Jelly at- I was thinking that about uniforms-it will be 20 years for me. I got quite sad thinking about it.(not really, I can't wait!)
