We seem to have reached the limit on the other one!

The boundaries are low but the questions are even more ridiculous! I can't even start to work them out.

3 more days ....

KatyMac · 15/06/2014 20:27

Good luck to everyone who has exams still to go & congratulations to everyone who has finished.

DD finished today (Grade 6 Modern) and can now relax until she leaves home in September!!

She has 2 weeks off before she starts work

RaspberryLemonPavlova · 15/06/2014 20:47

Glad she made it to the end Katy. And she must be so excited about September.

DS has Chemistry and Further Maths tomorrow, they have to the FM late because they clash.

I didn't know the boundaries were so low for Further Maths, DS has an A prediction, but he tells me there is an A Distinction for this? I know he is hoping to do well as he wants to do Physics at uni and so is doing Maths and Further Maths A levels.

MrsMaturin · 15/06/2014 21:47

Dd described it as an A* with a hat Hmm That's my girl! Grin Frankly I think they should get some sort of a star for even turning up.

KittiesInsane · 15/06/2014 21:50

Today I have been assisting with gene splicing, trigonometry, the inner workings of photomultipliers, the marriage of Bad King John and a mood board on Cornish pasties.

Not all my children are doing exams, but I'm losing track!

chart53 · 15/06/2014 22:02

Mood board on Cornish pasties sounds fun. Let us all know how it goes.
Personally despite all the stress with exams with DD2 .. it is nothing to the hours in Top Shop shopping with DD1.... how are jelly-pink sparkly sandals
ever a "thing"? Last exam on Monday and DD is done. Yipee. Agreed all should get * for making to the end.

MorvahRising · 16/06/2014 06:44

Morning all - here we go again! We've got Biology this morning. Am so envious of everyone who has finished!

MrsMaturin · 16/06/2014 07:47

Dd seems pretty cheerful today. I hope the paper isn't too evil. Just today and then calculator paper on Friday.........

KittiesInsane · 16/06/2014 08:22

DS is still going to the bitter, bitter end with three sciences and statistics ('Why, Mum? Why did I ever say I'd take Statistics?') still to come this week and next, plus oh god auditions for his 6th form place (music), whole minutes after the end of the Stats.

bruffin · 16/06/2014 08:23

DD finished as well, although she is finishing course work today. We had a relaxing day shopping for her prom shoes on Saturday and watched Les Mis last night . She wants to do Maths, Physics, Biology and History for A level but wants to do Occupational Therapy at uni.

pigsinmud · 16/06/2014 08:44

Just one more maths paper tomorrow and then done. Ds1 is not worried as this is his best paper.

MissScatterbrain · 16/06/2014 08:47

Biology today too for DC.

Needmoresleep · 16/06/2014 09:19

Last one - biology. Yeah. Then effectively schools out for summer.

AtiaoftheJulii · 16/06/2014 09:47

OCR Gateway Chemistry today. DD2 soooooo booooored of revising!

RS on Wednesday, Physics on Thursday and that's it. Can't wait!

MissScatterbrain · 16/06/2014 10:48

Biology paper was "difficult" mainly due to tricky/poor phrasing of the questions. Fortunately I had tested DC on stuff that actually came up in the exam so fingers crossed DC will have done well.

Chemistry on Thursday to look forward to Hmm

dottygamekeeper · 16/06/2014 11:36

DD had FM this morning and was pleased with how it went, though said several questions were badly written. She tried talking me through the questions but I didn't understand a word! (I find it amazing how she can remember long strings of mathematical signs and numbers - but is rubbish at spelling). She is keen to do well as hoping to do Maths and Further Maths at AS & A2, and Maths at uni. Just another FM, Chemistry and Physics left now - a week today it will all be over...

Leeds2 · 16/06/2014 13:46

Finished this morning! Yay!!

KittiesInsane · 16/06/2014 14:21

DS has just called to say Biology 'was great, actually'. This could mean anything from 'I knew the answers' to 'I didn't read the questions carefully enough to realise I didn't in fact know the answers' like maths last week.

MorvahRising · 16/06/2014 14:44

DS also happy with Biology (OCR) and said he finished quite early, which always makes me think yikes . . . . he said there was a question about air in the blood which he didn't remember doing much about in class, but he's watched so many diving programmes he ended up writing loads about the bends etc apparently. Let's hope it was relevant!

OP posts:
KittiesInsane · 16/06/2014 14:51

Yes, 'finished early' always makes me want to ask, 'Did you turn over all the pages?'

MorvahRising · 16/06/2014 15:55

Exactly . . . . oh well, it's done now!

Three more to go . . . .

OP posts:
EllenJanesthickerknickers · 16/06/2014 17:05

OCR 21st Century biology today, and AQA further maths. Apparently Biology was 'meh' but maths 'went well.' Three more to go here, as well.

Unexpected · 16/06/2014 17:47

Edexcel Biology this morning for DS, he seems happy, thought the 6 mark questions were good and what had revised came up. Said there were a couple of tricky questions but thinks he's done enough for an A.
