Busy day @WouldBeGood! Go for it with kilt walk! A challenge to work towards?

My core class is done - first one in a while so it was a killer. Glad I did it though. Shower, wine, neighbours finale beckons!!

Completely overindulged at the weekend. It's so much harder to stay on track during the summer I think. Got lots on the next few weekends to that will undoubtedly be a bit boozy.

But will try and be good in the weekdays at least!! How is everyone getting on?

I was pretty rubbish at the weekend too @WhatWouldTheDoctorDo . But I did try the “sprint” training on Saturday/ it was actually ok! And I can feel my lower abs aching from it so added bonus! Obviously I’m shite at it and went to a deserted location so as not to frighten people 🤣

I think you’re right about the summer, I’m still in a kind of holiday vibe. Especially with the booze!

Ugh kids have a sick bug here, a lot of bad sleep. The eating (and drinking) could be worse! 3 lots of family visiting the next two weeks - no idea why they all decided to come right at the end of the summer holidays!

Well done @WouldBeGood my exercise intentions for the weekend went out of the window on Sat morning. But I've just done another 20 mins of walk/run/sprint with Les mills just now and will attempt a core class once I've got my breath back.

Nightmare with the sick bug @mapleleavesreturn have you managed to avoid it? I can't believe how much we've planned for august, I think I went a bit mad earlier in the year. We've got family, friends, festival nights, and a long weekend abroad. I think I just need to be really really good on normal days and set my sights on September goals!!

Also crazy with the food at the weekend.
Not helped that I ran 19 miles over Sat/Sun so I was starving and that leads to me stuffing my face!

Scales we’re not good this morning that’s for sure! 😩

Agree it’s hard when it’s the summer and more socialising. Especially hard to track at weekends when eating out or at friends.

I need to do a weights workout and I was all ready to jack it in but coming on here has given me the push to just do it. Il pop the tv on as a distraction.

Hope you don’t get the sick bug @mapleleavesreturn or maybe that would be a good thing to help with the weight loss! 😉

@WhatWouldTheDoctorDo iv still not watched the finale. Can’t bring myself to let it end just yet! Iv also managed to avoid any spoilers!

Evening all. No weight list in the last week which wasn't too much of a surprise. Have kept up the exercise though and calorie counting again.

I think if I can just avoid putting on weight before the end of the month that will be a win!

Hello all. I’m far too scared to do a weigh in 🤣 And I’m going out for lunch today and at weekend. That’s great you’ve not gained @WhatWouldTheDoctorDo , a result given you’ve also been enjoying life. I’ve been good on protein goals and exercise and am getting a new programme for the gym so I can do two proper serious weights sessions a week and then add in cardio.

@runningpink hope you got weights in and are feeling good.

@mapleleavesreturn oh, I really hope you feel ok… I really really hate a sick bug

Dodging the sick bug is worth celebrating @mapleleavesreturn !

I had lunch out with someone I hadn’t seen for a while, and it was so nice when she said “oh, you’ve lost loads of weight!”

I think I’m a bit less panicked than I was before, as I know I can get back on it and keep losing. Enjoy summer fun, and keep at it. 💪

I have decided to give up calorie counting until the end of the school holidays. I've just got too much on and I want to enjoy what's left of the summer. I will keep up the exercise and try and make good choices when I can. Today we're going to a bbq and normally we'd get a cab as it's a faff to get to and involves two buses or a bus and 30 min walk and we're going for the bus/walk option to get some steps in.

How is everyone else doing? @mapleleavesreturn @runningpink ?

Sorry iv been awol yet again! Started my new job so life has been crazy busy!
Needless to say diet went right out the window! Didn’t end up doing weights all week as I was chasing my tail trying to fit everything in. It was really just one of those weeks!

I have spent a few depressing hours this afternoon, prepping and logging all my meals Mon-Wednesday. So no excuse not to stay on track!
Exercise is planned out for the week and I plan to get back on it. I WILL lose a stone in the next month or so!

We were away in our camper again so signal is rubbish. I kept to my calories. I walked lots. I drank tonnes of water. And when I came home, I'd put on two pounds. Although I think I might have lost some inches on my legs but I hadn't measured them so couldn't be sure.

I was so dispirited, I signed up to weightwatchers for two months. I just decided I don't know what I'm doing and I don't even understand how food works any more! 🙄Being peri-menopausal definitely doesn't help. My body doesn't work the way it used to at all. I just need help to get back on track.

I've meal planned until tomorrow and tonight I'll plan for the rest of the week. In theory, I'm having to eat more than I usually eat so I'm scared I'll have put on even more by the end of the week but I'll see. Maybe I can eat more if it's all the right things 🤔Now, I need to work out an exercise plan too.

@runningpink I hope you're enjoying your new job!

I’ve genuinely never eaten so much as I do now on the calorie counting @GoldenSongbird And the high protein fills me up. Take a look at the fitness chef on Facebook, there’s a friendly group top with advice and support. I also read his latest book and it makes total sense.

My new plan is now four proper, recorded weights sessions a week, no cardio as such. To track and record progress, or no progress. I feel accountable now. And it’s kind of simplified it by being written down exactly what I need to do. I’m quite excited by it!

Job is going ok, still finding my feet a bit but il get there.

How is everyone coping in the heat? I went rogue yesterday, heat, tiredness got to me.

Back on plan today, well so far anyway.

Heading to an outdoor class. Hoping I don’t die in the heat!!

Ok is pretty good for a new job running, so hard starting new things. Still a bit of over indulgence here but I've eaten a fair bit of salad and hit some good steps recently.

This weather is so good, summer 22 delivered at last after a long disappointing spring!

I did a dance exercise class on Wed and went for a long walk yesterday.

I'm hovering just over the next stone and would love to get under it by Monday so three days to lose 1.5lbs - which seems unlikely 😃

Hit the f* it button today and eaten my body weight in junk again! The weather makes me want to pick at food and eat crap

Steps and water fine, it’s my usual of food letting me down

@runningpink hello! I’m doing four days a week weight training in the gym, with strict recording of reps and progress. No jogging or classes. It’s bloody hard work. That’s the first full week completed. I’m intrigued to see how it works. Keeps me focussed and accountable,

I’m also to get back on my strict calorie counting, which hasn’t been good, I must confess, owing to summer and a bit of stress.

Iirc, you’re not overweight, @runningpink , which I think would make it much harder to focus on sticking to calories: I’m still overweight so I have that incentive!
