I'm in the car reading a few threads where folks are fed up with the misery and fighting so thought I'd start a new thread. Not for politics or covid or fighting , just general stuff 🙂

I've had a nice day, off work on hols so we took a wee drive down to Peebles and had lunch, bought a few pies from lovely butcher and now heading home.

@BlameItOnTheBlackStar well done on the weight loss. I've lost 18lbs recently. There's a Scotsnet healthy eating and exercise thread too!

I was on thread a wee while ago but I lost my mojo a bit, but back on it now.

18 pounds is actually amazing! (That's what I've technically lost myself. The rest was a tummy tuck 😉)

Must say, I'm really enjoying this thread. Its like a wee oasis in the covid shite.

I've scoffed chocolate muffin as was watching bake off

I'm still waiting on my dinner as dh has taken ds to rugby training and it doesn't finish until 8.45pm. This is why I eat crisps and biscuits!

Dh has put some sort of lamb dish in the oven and I'm in charge of adding orzo to it at some point

It's not your fault then, you are basically forced to eat crisps and biscuits

I've just been to see Bond. I watched it all

Was surprised that it was supposed to be mandatory masks when not eating or drinking so just ate a tub of popcorn and sipped on a cola, very very slowly....

Noticed after a wee while (during the brighter bits) that no-one else was giving a shit anyway so it was nice and relaxed. We'd booked the posh seats anyway as we are all tall and DS has very long legs.

We kept our masks off too when we went unless we were moving around the place (I had to go for a pee towards the end 🤣).

I managed to save the pee until it finished - it was a long film but I sipped my drink very very slowly. DH took a whisky with him in a little cup. We have a teeny wee decanter so I did suggest he took tiny decanter and a crystal glass with him instead

I’ve given up on the mask wearing. I keep well away from people, and have had no bother but lots of nice interactions with people. (No licking)

I've been fed now but now I feel slightly ill and it's practically bedtime.

Anyone doing anything nice today?

I'll do the school run then back home for baby ds nap then going to take him to toddlers. Going to pack us a lunch and have it in the park afterwards as its to be sunny. Big ds wants to go to the library after school so thankfully we'll return the superhero book that's he's had every bedtime for a week!

I’m off to Glasgow shopping. DH and I are having a few days away in Carnoustie soon and I need something to wear. No idea where I’ll find anything though. I’m mostly a jeans and T shirt person.

Will have a swim later then back to work tomorrow.
